I've had requests for placing some characters in situations involving anal sex. I've never done that myself, and the wife of a friend said her mate liked doing it but that she never got any pleasure from it.

So, I'm asking two questions before I attempt this in a story:

1) Do women like this? And should there be stimulation of the clitoris to maintain her pleasure in the act?

2) Is anal sex offensive to the casual reader? I mean when I write, oral and vaginal sex are key components and both are accepted by my readers. But is anal sex also casually acceptable to most readers, or is it something that only a few like?

A) I personally do not care for it. I have only had it once or twice where it felt good, a few where it was tolerable and a couple where I actually asked him to stop. I usually do it because I know my bf likes it quite a lot and I want him to be happy. But I do know some women who not only like it but can achieve climax from it

as for anal sex, I've had people surprised that something turned anal when they weren't expecting it... and get annoyed... <shrug>

If it's in the "anal" category, that's great... but just know that they can be very particular about what they want over there...

If it's not, you could always put an "author's note" at the top, saying there's anal in the story...

as for, "Do women like this?" I can definitively say YES! At least, this one does...

My girlfriend likes it. She's aroused by the taboo of the act, and the intense physical sensations. She needs clitoral stimulation to orgasm.

There's a whole category for anal. I wouldn't drop anal into a romance story. But as long as it's treated realisitcally and respectfully (i.e. no "and then I rammed it up her ass"), I don't think it's out of place in a number of categories. Still, if anal is the focus, put it in anal

Yeah, I look at some of my earlier stories and laugh at that mistake. Something that will have to be revised later, I suppose.

Incest/Tabbo

The story I am thinking of writing a sequel to is Incest/Taboo anyway, so I think anal sex would fall into the Taboo part of it. It's a bit of a romance between father/daughter, and she's heard friends talking about it and she's curious/scared of trying it, so she wants the father she loves and trusts to be the one to try it with, knowing that if at any point it gets too scary he'll be more than cooperative about discontinuing it. It's going to be a loving description about experimentation and self-discovery. Just as the first was a loving and poignant coming of age between father and daughter following the tragic loss of their wife/mother.

1) Yes. And yes, clitorial stimulation is generally a plus.

2) No. Not offensive. Most stories that contain anal play are placed in the Anal category. As to interest in Anal Sex, my stories in the Anal category have many, many views and many, many votes (especially my How-to Anal story).

Anal play can be especially naughty, a deeply intimate act or for wild and rough play.

It's whatever you make it, actually.

Even in fantasy! I mean, some of the stories I read here- with all the emphasis on the office, and the car, and the minutia of day-to-day, and then once the sex scene starts, all that realism goes out the window.
I never bother with the hum-drum, not very often.

2. i sincerely doubt that the kinds of readers one is likely to encounter on lit would find female bottom anal offensive. heck, isn't that half of why lit has an anal category in the first place?
