Make a haiku

Work assails my time,
Just stolen moments remain.
I miss my lit friends.

****

Words remain unsaid.
Stories remain unwritten.
Friendships slip away.

It is not easy
To write a perfect haiku
I ran out of syl...

*****

My hands move lower
Fingers caress your secrets
Soon they will be mine

*****

When all that I want,
Is the sunshine of your smile,
Why must it rain so?

*****

I thought we were friends,
But I was just another
way to hurt yourself

*****

It could have been great.
But fate conspires against me.
God dammit so much.

*****

Not ev'ry haiku,
Must be deep and meaningful.
The aardvark is dead.

*****

Staring at blank sheets
Praying for inspiration
Lesson planning sucks.

*****

It goes in quite stiff
But comes out wet and floppy
A teabag, of course.

*****

This conversation,
About my Aye Dee Aitch Dee,
Is - Hey, look at that!

*****

Writing these Haiku
Turns out to be addictive
I really should stop.

Cool wind drives out warmth,
Grey skies banish, gay birdsong.
Winter approaches

Knives of absence stab,
The heart is empty, yet aches.
This certain outcome.

The last chapter starts
Plot lines tied, characters leave,
The final curtain.

All the world's a stage:
But now that the Act has ended,
What doom now cometh?

Oh. It's just intermission. I'm getting a latte. You want something?

Rain traces patterns.
Rivulets on window panes
Like my tears of joy.

The wrong word is used
Initial meeting is spoilt
Henceforth frost abounds

Blue sky, sun is low;
Cold air steals away my warmth;
Soon will come winter.
