Make a haiku

Haiku's no more 5-7-5
'Cos it's no more in Japanese now
You can compose whatever you like.

If I translate a haiku by celebrated haiku poet, Tan Taigi...from Japanese to English and it appears like this:

Beneath a hazy moon:
downstream, the sound
of a net cast on the river.

Is it still not a haiku?

Watching the stars
through willow branches
makes me feel lonely.

why should I rack my brain
for something so frivolous
I might as well go to sleep.

champagne bubbles *pop*
countdown to steamy midnight
slow-motion salsa

hips pressing closer
fingers entangle dark hair
deep passionate kiss

*shoo-bop bop* summer
heat, boy & girl meet, but uh [insert audible sigh]
ohhh, those summer nights

tell me more, tell me more...

Do not tread on the grass
Where fireflies glowed
Last night
