Make a haiku

A new day over
Moonlight shines through my window
Calmness settling in.

when fashioning shields
i prefer laughter, don't you?
brief, loud scoffs of strength...

time stumbles sideways...
i believe it's the clock that's
been drinking, not me.

Hot water hissing,
My shower steams up quickly:
Wish you were here too.

sweltering winds blow
flaying that last of summer
lizards run and hide :D

By the lake I stand
Knocking on your cabin's door
Needing passion's touch

Every thought of you
Rises brilliant like the sun,
Dances in my heart.

new pjs, cozy,
warm, worn straight from the drier.
comfort, like your arms...

Dancing, darting, dip -
Ruby throated hummingbirds
Etch shared memories.

Nothing in their flight
Kneads the dough of loneliness,
But still I miss you.

Hate to be a real stickler but the more correct form would provide something like this:

blood orange moon shines
coloring nights starred pinpricks
settling out colors

That one got me.

soft heat of baked earth
late September waves scorching
dreading the sunrise

Thank you

And not here, it isn't... ;)

One single red leaf,
Drifting, bright on fallen leaves.
My spirit saddens.

light shadows darkness
glow radiates from dark hills
moon being stubborn

fan stirring hot air
cloistered sheets covered dampness
full monsoonal flow

:rose:

heated wind breathes out
dehydrating wildflowers
snap heat of autumn
