I've had my Hitachi for a few years now and I've noticed lately that the vibrations have become less strong. I don't want to buy a new one since I like the one I have. Is there a way I can perform some sort of maintenance on it to keep it running in tip top shape? Thanks if you can help.

Temp256 talked about this very thing a while back. Maybe see if you can find the post(s) and/or PM her for suggestions? IIRC, she said something about little metal shavings and lubricating something or other.

If you find it, please let us know because my Wand has seem to have gotten louder over the years, and could use some sprucing up, too. Although I wouldn't mind buying a new one now or later because the current one has served us so well. And, hey, if we got another now, we could both use them at the same time and probably come up with all sorts of other fun stuff to do with two of them! :D

I sent that person a message. We'll see what happens.
