Salutations

Hola everyone; trice, good to have visitors!
A "look" at me?
Hmmm...I've recently moved back to Maine from "down south" and am currently enrolled in school at the University of Maine at Machias. I'm in my second year of a BS in Environmental Studies.
After 10+ years away, I plan on staying. But, you know what happens to plans. John Lennon said that "Life is what happens when you're making other plans"? Something like that. What else would you like to know?

Mainer Here !

Well hello there. I'm a 37/m/Bangor, and as much as I visit and read the stories on Literotica.com, I hardly ever visit the BB. If anyone would like to chat, feel free to contact me at martiniman662003@yahoo.com

Not too much going on here. Bangor is kind of quiet. Anyone near here that wants to chat or something ?

what's up? hmmmm maybe we are all still hibernating....but some are here....waiting for warmth :rose:

Good afternoon Miss....

Even we former Mainers have been pretty quiet lately, LOL. Will be visiting Vacationland in April though, and that's cause for some joy.

blanch- I am as north as you may want to go, but unfortunately not south as Bangor...:(

I seem to remember a sign on I-95 just north of Bangor indicating that it was something like 120 miles to Houlton. That sure felt like it was the far side of the moon to those of us who lived south of Waterville. There sure is a lot of Maine north of the state's population centers.

Greetings Miss I

So very nice to hear from you. Care to borrow some warmth?

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH the joys of MUD season are here, followed closely by the thrill of black fly season, GAWD I LOVE this state.

There is 6" of water on top of the ice in my pond, not sure whether to walk out to the island or use the canoe ... mmmmm decisions decisions ...

Just think, it almost time to start geting firewood ready for next July, oops, I mean winter.

be well all, shy

It is a grand life.

Been kicking myself for almost 30 years about leaving Maine, but I do like getting a paycheck and what I do was never possible in Maine.

so what is that you do do way out here in the midwest?

I was a management consultant for many years and there just aren't many such firms in Maine. Plus, my wife is a teacher and we know from talking to my sister the teacher that the income just wouldn't be comparable even with a lower cost of living in Maine.

But, there's always retirement and I haven't finished making my "buy a place in Maine arguments yet."

i guess everything is a compromise, i could get more money if i move south, but i would not be living in the country in my own home and freeto play with my acres as i wish. maybe being a blue-collar guy has something to do with it too. how many condo assoc's would let me drive my tractor around, much less 10 miles down the road to help a friend, and no it is not registered and the statie and the local sheriff just wave at me as i go by. i know i would miss the wildlife and the mountains. I work on yachts and as i would move south the country would disappear from the shoreline. so for me this works, course i was born here too.
be well, shy
