According to PennLive.com, State Senator Mike Folmer allegedly uploaded an image of child pornography to social media image posting site Tumblr–a curious choice since Tumblr famously banned all pornography earlier this year and now uses an aggressive filtering/monitoring application to make sure images are not in violation of the site’s relatively new PG-13 policies.

A prominent Republican fund-raiser who once said former President Clinton was “a lawbreaker and a terrible example to our nation’s young people” pleaded guilty Wednesday to production of child pornography.

Richard Anthony Delgaudio, who was sentenced in Baltimore Circuit Court to two years’ probation, admitted taking lewd photographs of a 16-year-old girl he met in a Baltimore park in 2001. In some of the photos, Delgaudio was engaged in sex with the girl, court records show.

Delgaudio, 50, of Burke, Va., is a frequent talk-radio guest and national figure in conservative politics. He is president of the Legal Affairs Council, a group that helped pay the legal bills of former Reagan administration officials Oliver L. North and Caspar W. Weinberger after they were charged in connection with the Iran-Contra affair.


There was additional evidence that Delgaudio took erotic images of at least one other younger teenager, but the evidence was not admissible in court because police improperly stopped and searched Delgaudio, a judge ruled.

A once-lauded Republican donor and former businessman was killed in prison late Tuesday by another inmate, the Associated Press and a collection of news organizations reported this week.

According to the Virginia Department of Corrections, Mark A. Grethen, 63, who was initially not identified by name, died “following an apparent attack by another inmate inside the victim’s cell.” The attack occurred at the Lawrenceville Correctional Center, a for-profit prison operated by The GEO Group, Inc., a news release indicated.

“The victim was serving a 26-year sentence for crimes including forcible sodomy and aggravated sexual battery,” the DOC continued. ...

The Norfolk, Va. Virginian-Pilot indicated that Grethen, previously of Suffolk, Va., was a businessman who had been “convicted of sexually assaulting children.”

Court and law enforcement records list a litany of July 16, 2001 convictions under Grethen’s name: two counts of indecent liberties with a child by a custodian; two counts of forcible sodomy; and two counts of aggravated sexual battery. But the original case file contained many more accusations.

A former Big Island councilman who pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting a child in 2000 has been hired by the Hawai'i County Planning Department.

Keola Childs, who served two terms as a Republican on the Hawai'i County Council from 1992 to 1996, spent time in jail after his conviction for knowingly subjecting a person under age 14 to "sexual penetration."

Childs, 60, is still serving his sentence for the crime.

He was sentenced to serve one year in jail, with 30 days of that sentence served each year. This year, he was ordered to serve one month in jail from Sept. 29 to Oct. 29, according to court documents. He also will be kept on probation through 2020.

Childs is a registered sex offender who is listed on the Hawai'i Criminal Justice Data Center Web site.

Flathead District Court Judge Heidi Ulbricht on Sept. 24 denied a request by Dick Dasen Sr., 76, for a conditional release from supervision, according to court documents. He connected with the court by telephone from where he resides in Arizona.

Dasen’s case shocked the Flathead Valley when he was arrested in February 2004 after authorities said Dasen paid women and girls for sex, that he took sexual photographs of girls under the age of 18, that he had sex with a girl under the age of consent at 15, and that he enticed poor and drug-addicted women and girls to become prostitutes with large amounts of money.

In May 2005, after a monthlong trial, a jury convicted Dasen Sr. of several offenses and he was later sentenced to 20 years, 18 suspended. He was released in May 2007 and has been on probation since then.

A former aide to Donald Trump can proceed with her civil rape case against Trump’s longtime senior campaign advisor Jason Miller, a New York judge ruled Friday.

The lawsuit is an escalation of a yearslong and salacious feud between Miller and former MAGA attorney A.J. Delgado, who claims that she was victimized in her publicized extramarital affair with the close Trump strategist.

In the lawsuit, filed in 2023 in New York County Supreme Court, Delgado claims that Miller subjected her to a “cycle of coercion, rape, sexual assault, abuse, battery, sexual harassment and sex trafficking” while she was his direct subordinate in the first Trump campaign.
