LW why?

Why is it that Literotica readers, like "LW stories" so much? Most "LW stories" have the stupidest plots, and running monologues. Why are they ranked do high?

Ranked so high? I hope you don't mean scores. LW has a shark tank full of real head cases that have real problems. It's a love hate relationship with them from the get go. Also a lot of the stories there are just posted to yank the chains of the three different classes of people who hang out there.

It allows them to interact/argue with each other in the comments section. Most other categories aren't as interactive in the comments section. It makes them feel alive to push their positions at others, assuming if the screen the loudest or are the last to comment, everyone has capitulated to their view.

There are stories there with the cheating wives end up gang raped, sold into sexual slavery, sold into Mexican whorehouses, and any other horrific fate you can imagine and the fans cheer.

Let a woman get some revenge or make her the victim, all hell will break loose.

They say hell hath no fury like a woman scorned. Bullshit read the comments there. That category is full of bitter men who get their rocks off reading about women being humiliated degraded and sometimes even hurt.

Maybe these guys have been cheated on, who knows? But more likely they're fat, needle dicked little social misfits who couldn't get laid in a whore house and its the entire female races fault.

Now of course it is well established that I am pretty much a man hater and the type of guy who back in the day most likely fooled around with the wives of guys like that for fun. Because I had things going for me, like being able to see my dick without a mirror and knowing how to be decent to a woman

Having said that I decided to have some fun and waltz into the woman haters den and write a man haters story. The guy cheated first, she cheated for payback and in front of him while he was bound and had to watch. Hell, I even threw in a shock collar.

Lovecraft has hit rock bottom with this story. It REALLY sucks!

But the one that really made me shake my head was the guy who said the husband never cheated. Either he skimmed the story or he is that blinded by his hate for the wife because she watched the video of him doing it, which is why she did what she did.

anyway, doubt I'll venture back there, not my cup of tea, but it was fun to picture them frothing as they read it.

Apparently LW DOES have entertainment value I just needed to look AFTER the stories, not in them.

I think you can agree your story was out of character for the category (in a good way). LWs is a tough area b/c even the top rated stories can be artificially high scored vs. the quality because they touch all the trolls right buttons.

I don't understand the LW category at all.

I wrote an incest story once and although it got mostly good comments, a few people bashed it because it didn't have the cliched 'happy ever after' ending that they seemed to want. That was fine, I knew the ending wouldn't be to some people's tastes and I expected some people to say so. I was just a little bit surprised that readers could get so invested in fictional characters that the fact that their imaginary lives don't end up going in the imaginary way that they wanted them to at the end can ruin the whole story for them.

But reading the two links posted in this thread, the LW crowd seem to have taken this to a whole other level. They actually sit there arguing with each other about which characters deserved what, whether revenge was over (or under) proportional, and so on. I mean WTF? It's a story, who the hell cares? Sometimes people act like douches in stories and get away with it. And sometimes they get their just dessert. And sometimes they get their just dessert with a free main course, starter and chocolate mints thrown in as well. What does it matter at the end of the day, they're fictional!

Note, this applies not just to the 'woman haters' on LW, but the people arguing the other side too. If you read a story and don't like the ending, which in an abstract way tarnishes the story for you (like the apparent hopeless romantics on Incest), then you're well within your rights to say so, but to sit there and actually argue over which character deserved to have what done to them? Well, I just don't understand that. Do they feel the same anger when TV show characters are killed off?
