~She Waits...in the wind~
.
She quietly waits in the wind for her Love,
Where she’ll enwrap him, in her essence,
Breathing her love on his sweltering flesh,
Sensing the feel of him, of his love again.
.
Caressing his brow, with a soft whispering kiss,
From the enticing, teasing, tingling, soft breeze,
Blowing chills of passion’s ecstasy, her song
The sweet wind carries to him
.
Her love carried in gentle wisps of air,
Whistling thru the branches of trees, fields,
Resting finally, in his heart and soul
He closes his eyes to feel the love,
Carried by the wind to him.....
.
Wild flowers, how she loved picking them
Her long hair frolicking in the summer breeze
Gazing over, and smiling
Fantasizing about her, as the wind tantalizes him
.
With his eyes closed, he senses her caress
In the wind she loves so much
He knows her love is there for him,
As the loving wind that encompass’s him

It sounds as if she has passed on, or has been taken from Him, quite unexpectedly... and He is left behind. And in His mourning for her... He remembers her as she was... and feels her, in the wind that surrounds Him... and can still see her, in the fields of flowers; and feel her kiss upon His brow... carried on the wind.

Absolutely beautiful BB8...

I love you and I need you
each and every day
upon this piece of paper
I come to you this way

Though I can not touch you
and I wish I would
my thoughts of you unspoken
I would carve them if I could

Upon a piece of leather
or a block of clay
each word would be the truth
for I would never play

Only, the words we whisper
ours to hear and say
come over by me darling
we have to, come what may

To take a risky moment
and breathe each a breath of life
into the mouths of lovers
that are feeling such great strife

So hold me when you can
and kiss me if you will
for our memories of yesterday
need to keep us 'til

A new and glorious day
awakens with the sun
and once more I am greeted
with a kiss of love undone

My heart soars like an eagle
taking me away
hoping to hear you
on another sunny day

But if time doesn't happen
and if it isn't fair
then know that I still hold you
upon my heart in prayer

Kiss me in your mind
and hold me in your heart
do not shift and wander
for though we are apart

My thoughts of you are full
and my heart is spoken for
not to the one that binds me
but you, forever more.

I know well these feelings...
And so shall I keep mine,
Locked away inside me...
Never more to shine.

For He did not want me
In spite of words He said.
He said them, to wound my heart
As He let them fill my head.

Simply beautiful RHF. You are truly a poet and your words have found a home here... as I hope, have you. :rose:

*Places the rose in her hair* Thank you dear. I do hope you'll continue with your writing. Your works are the worth of your efforts... each one better than the one before.

My Friend

Once upon a time
Is the way most fairytales begin,
I had a friend and he had me
And my world was happy can't you see.

Sometimes he would just call
With no real purpose at all...
Or sometimes call as a way to say,
"Hello, I was thinking of you today."

I know well these feelings...
And so shall I keep mine,
Locked away inside me...
Never more to shine
Until the end of time.

In spite of all words He said...
He said them as a way
To wound my heart
As He let them fill my head
And thus tear me apart.

So now I say, Good bye my friend,
To the friend that you once were.
And all our words, like those in your song...
In my heart... they will endure
Until the day I am gone.

Very nice... thank you for sharing all of it...

I must go now
so I'll say
look for me another day
in the shadows of the land
or in the choir or the band
never fear my soul will stay
upon this thread of words we say
keep in mind the place we are
literotica not a home by far. :D

What I posted to you sparked the above piece. So, I guess one could say... that the middle of the work brought about the entire piece. :)

Love the ditty! ;)

THE WIND and THE CHIMES
.
Smoke spirals from glowing embers of the pine logs,
forging a trail through the silence of the night,
Red flags, sail in the cool night air,
Wild winds, swirling near an open field.
.
The breeze flowing through the chiming of the chimes,
A lone coyote howls in the distance.
A howl that is no longer riled by the hooting owl,
as it echos off of red rocks of a thousand moaning canyons,
and through the branches of a twisted pine trees,
At the edge of the canyon. The brilliance of the full moon.
.
Come into my arms, my Love, my Darling.
Irritating wind blown sand, curving an arch,
Sagebrush tumbling across a bridge,
Flourescent stars light the darkened sky
carefully painted in the heavens,
as it reflects off the rippling lake waters.
.
Blow across the waters, and howl through the pussy-willows
Sailing beneath the eagle’s wing, and lifting him high,
above the canyon walls.
Carrying the howling of the coyote across the canyon wide,
for all to hear;
.
Two voices, howling in the quiet wilderness.

This sums up my last hour...

My children are outside right now
I had no other choice
the yelling and the screaming
would have made me lose my voice

She has my toy,
He has mine too
I want to play
Where is my shoe

The fighting and the bickering
was driving me insane
so I told them to get there butts outdoors
or I'd have more to say!

Picnic With Victoria

Picnic with Victoria

As I walked up the sidewalk to the entrance of Gardens,Coming to meet Victoria for my picnic the entrance was surrounded by lots of flowers in bloom, some just popped in front of me. It was so beautiful. Vibrant pinks. Soft reds, yellows, and white blossoms. . Lots and lots of green and purple. Bumble bees. Trees and grass. And that was before the gate.

I walked faster, through the wide-open space of grass down to the garden. where I told Victoria Id meet her

The beds of flowers seemed tp go on forever, Victoria was dressing in a Victorian dress and wide-brimmed hat . Tom she said in a slight southwestern accent, going over to her I take her hand and introduce myself to her then kiss her hand softly. then I spread out the blanket and put out the lunch from the basket. there we were in the sprawling, winding flowerbeds, each flowing into the next.

We sat and then looked around, there were perfectly planted rows of annuals, some mingling with blooming perennials, bordered by perfectly cut earth, then green, green grass. Stone steps took me back to the wide space of grass. At eye level were sculpted hedges. Small pathways — some stone, some brick and some grass — led to more surprises.

The picnic lunch was in the shade of two tall oak trees. We sat down and inhaled our sweet surroundings.

To our right was the east entrance of the gardens. Two tall spruce trees stood on either side, creating a goal-post effect for visitors; a message to the outside world come in for a while and relax and forget your troubles.

I whispered to victoria to close her eyes and listened to the sounds of the garden. The birds were singing, probably just talking, but it was lovely music to us.

The cars on the highway created a zooming hum — background noise that provided the idea of constant, rushing movement out there as the cool breeze slowly and gently moved the leaves of the trees, the sun casting their shadows all around. after we ate lunch we walked and chatted over to the flowers and shrubs and plants . the trees stood tall, dancing in the breeze and basking in the sunshine. Their beautiful faces, leaves and blooms lifted us.

We felt free to stop and dream as the world went on without us. We took off our shoes and walked barefoot in the cool grass under the tree. I told Victoria about the farms in Illinois — a place where I ran barefoot everyday in the summer and took time to notice the beauty of the woods, fields and streams around me.
.
“The gardens can heal,” Victoria said, waving her left hand toward a bed of flowers. “It is true, they can heal. They can teach. They can change moods and minds and spirits. If you choose to believe it, it can happen." Walking hand in hand we just walked throught the garden I looked into her beautiful eyes and say thank you for having lunch with me . Then taking her hand again I led her to the gazebo and we sat and watched as the swans swam past, smiling as we listened to the sounds of nature and the garden.

“The Wind” and “The Chimes”

This has all the elements that would be borne of a Lakota Sioux Love Story... or perhaps the Cherokee... of a Warrior and a Maiden... Love forbidden and yet there are the unspoken words... heard in the music of "The Wind" (the Warrior) and "The Chimes" (the Maiden)... as their Spirit Guide (the Eagle) soars overhead, keeping watch.

Lovely BiggBear... simply lovely. I love the eerieness and almost ghost-like passing of the wind as it moves through the grasses and skims across the lake water.

What a lovely picnic lunch! Being in the gardens is restorative... to the weary mind, and to the heavy heart. It gives solace to the wounded spirit, and renews life and one's vitality.

It was most enjoyable, and I really enjoyed myself. Thank you for caring.
