Lust is consuming. Love is fleating... Today, Today...
Nothing more exists then a fleating glance
tomorrow is cold...

Reactions please.

You might start by using a spell checker or buying a dictionary. ;)

lustforlife74 and Mac2383, you two can put together what you've written for an interesting little poem.

Lust is consuming
Love is fleeting
Today, today...
Nothing more exists than a fleeting glance
Tomorrow is cold
but tomorrow never comes

Lust is consuming
Love is fleeting
Today, today...
Nothing more exists than a fleeting glance

Tomorrow is cold
but tomorrow never comes
and yesterday was never
Today, today...

I never loved you today
if tomorrow comes

If tomorrow comes
then today is yesterday
and yesterday was never

So I never loved you
today, today...

If I write this poem today, today
will you love it tomorrow
when this is yesterday?

A spell checker and a dictionary are of no use. I need an editor. If you don't understand the ideas please don't comment.

Yesterday sneaks up on you faster then tomorrow.

The thing is if your alive today most likely you will be alive tomorrow. Unless you are in a war zone. The precentages are with survival right now.

Tomorrow Never Knows

(I still don't really understand the meaning of this Lennon lyric--although I believe the subtext is "take hallucinogens"--but this thread seemed to cry out for it.)

TURN OFF YOUR MIND, RELAX AND FLOAT DOWN STREAM;
IT IS NOT DYING,
IT IS NOT DYING.

LAY DOWN ALL THOUGHTS, SURRENDER TO THE VOID;
IT IS SHINING,
IT IS SHINING.

THAT YOU MAY SEE THE MEANING OF WITHIN,
IT IS BEING,
IT IS BEING.

THAT LOVE IS ALL, THAT LOVE IS EV´RYONE;
IT IS KNOWING,
IT IS KNOWING.

WHEN IGNORANCE AND HASTE MAY MOURN THE DEAD,
IT IS BELIEVING,
IT IS BELIEVING.

BUT LISTEN TO THE COLOUR OF YOUR DREAM,
IT IS NOT LIVING,
IT IS NOT LIVING.

OR PLAY THE GAME "EXISTENCE" TO THE END
OF THE BEGINNING,
OF THE BEGINNING,
OF THE BEGINNING,
OF THE BEGINNING,
OF THE BEGINNING,
OF THE BEGINNING,
OF THE BEGINNING,
OF THE BEGINNING.

The Beetles made the mistake of getting involved with bizarre gurus. Yet they still wrote about zen. They didn't realise it at the time, but the dead ones know it now.

Or perhaps they are flatworms now. Hard to say.

Flatworms

Well John was cremated. Wasn't George, too? Burned floating down the Ganges, if memory serves. Unless you mean they were reincarnated as flatworms. What a cruel twist of kismet that would be. Even lower on the evolutionary scale than beatles.
