The media, establishment politicians, and their "useful idiot" supporters on the internet are understandably joyous over the events of the past week. They are wetting themselves in glee over having two major coups against their most hated population group enemies, whites and heterosexuals, in a week's time. In this thread I will address the white issue.
Wiping away white history and identity has long been a goal of the liberal establishment elites and their supporters.
In particular the white Southern heritage as exemplified by the Confederate history and heritage has long been a particular target for them. Its been slow however, with much success, but also much failure and loss of momentum at times. This past week, however, shamelessly exploiting a horrible unrelated tragedy, they have managed to cleanse significant parts of the Confederate heritage with lighting speed.
Hateful, shrill voiced politicians have ranted that "the... flag has no place in our present, or our future," and large corporations have vowed to stop selling rebel flags or merchandise. This has been accompanied by an even more extreme wave of efforts to cleanse ALL references to Confederate history and heritage from public view, including ripping down of statues, monuments, and memorials, re-naming of parks, buildings, schools, etc.
Yet it, of course, will not stop with Confederate history; some anti-white activists and their media friends are now demanding cleansing on ALL of white related history in the country. More extreme elements want the founding fathers cleansed from public celebration and all of white history expunged from society, as if whites were never here at all, at least not in any sort of positive way. Of course, they will always be blamed for all the country's problems, present and past, but recognition of any positive aspects of their contributions will be cleansed from history and society.
I fully expect attacks not only on the founders of the country, whom liberals already racistly and sexistly refer to as "dead white males," such as calls for removal of the likes of Jefferson and even Washington from monuments and money, but a wide expansion of the cleansing effort across the country. Any history associated with whites in any way will likely come under fire.
Demands for removal of the Gateway Arch in St. Louis are probably in the works, as this beautiful monument not only celebrates the settlement and "Americanizing" of the western half of the country but its aesthetically pleasing in form. Liberals hate aesthetic and beautiful things; I honestly believe part of their obsession against the stars and bars is its visually pleasing and symmetrical form. In fact, I've always been surprised they haven't tried to get the Arch removed before.
Of course, the Alamo would probably be next, either to be demolished or turned into a shrine memorializing Mexico's loss of the southwest. On and on and on, until everything is "cleansed." After all, why would the likes of Harvard professor Noel Ignatiev, who publically calls for the white race to be "abolished," stop at just the Confederate heritage? Why indeed.
However, at some point, I believe its inevitable there will be a counter current to all this. The hyper speed at which all this has been taking place over the past couple of years culminating in the orgy of cleansing against the rebel heritage this week, inevitably invites a counter push at some point. Even a pathetic, self-hating bunch of sad sacks like 21st century white Americans reach a point where they say "whoa, stop scapegoating us." In no way do I compare the Holocaust to the cultural cleansing going on in America today, but its interesting that Jews emerged stronger, more proud, and more united after the terrible events of World War II. Perhaps whites in the US will emerge stronger and less ashamed after this current orgy or cultural attacks runs out of momentum. Sometimes you have to hit bottom before things can get better.
