At the beginning of the Ukraine war, Ukraine sank a battleship without having a navy. Russia is now destroying Ukraine's expensive donated tanks with cheap drones. Houthi rebels, also without a navy, are blockading the Red Sea. Rocket fuel can be as simple as sugar and fertilizer.

Ukraine blew up a ship last week

Ukraine has sank or permanently disabled 9 capital ships and 1 submarine out of the total of 47 ships and 6 submarines in the Black Sea fleet.

All without a navy. The loses and security of the remaining fleet is so bad that Russia has now abandoned the Crimea ports and moved most of the fleet back to mainland Russian ports on the Black Sea.
