When I wrote my first submission which was basically an autobiography, I was unaware of how rabid some readers are. I made the mistake of putting it in LW. At the time, I thought "Loving Wives" was a category for stories about married couples having any type extramarital affair, be it cheating, swinging, or in my case, polygamy. Looking back, I wished I had put it in "Group Sex".

The harsh compliments I received were brutal, especially when they are essentially talking about your life. That being said, I don't think they were nearly as harsh as the comments in the link provided by the OP or even Payday's stories. Those readers practically want to hang writers by their scrotums.

I don't think I'll ever write for that category again.

I just chock it up to whimsy.

You could always edit the story and stick it in GS. Category and Tag changes are easy if you haven't modified the story, it would just take a couple days. You could probably get it done via a PM.

You answered your own question....that's what tags are for.

Also, my stories are still in LW, I'd be sad if they got moved. I think the story you reference was a special case of whimsy.

Back to the sub-categories thing, why would it be so much work? I get your point about incest, but that's what tags are for. If the category is so generalized (LW) and is in need of some separation, why not do it? I mean, anal is it's own category and that is in practically every story I read and I've not read a single story in "Anal".

I have a "lost" folder on my computer. I also have one called "remnants" where I have scenes I wrote for fun and can occasionally plug into a story.

Sub categories would be too much work and then they would have to do it for every category. Incest would end up mother/son brother/sister....

As for LW the category has seriously devolved over time and is now nothing but cucking, BTB revenge stories and pretty much about nothing but the rape and torture of women, the degradation and humiliation of husbands and the beating and dismemberment of the wives lovers.

Its a fucking cesspool and the site wants it that way right now.

There was a thread awhile back where a reader was saying one of his favorite LW authors was having his stories moved to EC because they weren't stories of revenge and cucking.

Laurel posted in it she moved it because the crowd there was upset. So in other words she is "cleaning up" a cesspool by removing anything resembling a decent story.

And the mouth breathers there? I did a story on Valentines day in LW and it was so over the top it really couldn't be taken seriously

I wrote it for two reasons, one to piss off what I feel is the most repugnant readership on this site. But two....to see how bright they were. To see if they knew they were being put on by this spoof of everything that pisses them off.

I liked the story, but I definitely agree that it should be in another category. I would pick Fetish just because of the pegging theme. But I suppose EC would do as well.

As for the Loving Wives category, that's been discussed to death, or at least the reader/commentors have been. Hmmm. Commenters? Commentators?

Why the heck does my anon take such umbrage at stories of cheating wives. Some of those guys go out of their way to be unpleasant. What problems do they have. They went to town on this story. I've said before and here it is again: anon in LW is a group of virulent church goers whose pastor (probably in Texas) has told them to look up every story and visit them with comments as punishment to the author.

Do they go after cheating husband stories? Or are those OK?

The category is described as "Married extra-marital fun: swinging, sharing & more." (pasted it from the category heading.) So no fun between loving hubby and wife.

I think of the title as being a bit tongue-in-cheek given all the cuck type stories in it. I suppose the original intent was that it be about swingers. And that could be loving. Right now it's a big mess. I've written thee LW stories and probably won't do any more. Or if I do I'll find a way to put them somewhere else, whether I do a cuck or a wife share or a cheating wife/husband. The comments and one bombs suck.

I wonder what the chances are of getting a new category in place and what the name of it would be....

There were a lot of fuck her torch the bitch and long drawn out rants about what should be done to her so the misogynists faction was heard from. But I did get some "good for her" comments and then some in between. That's the thing there are several factions over there and no story will please them all.
