it is quite possible to be in love with more than one person and I know it cuz I feel that way right now....it is always your choice in the end mind you who you want to be with....sometimes choosing is the worst thing in the world....I made my choice...but sometimes I still think I haven't

Is it worth it if you know it's doomed in the end?

Definitely. Without a doubt.

If you have to ask, you're not in it, I think. Otoh, you don't have any choice in whether you are or not. It sort of grabs you by the throat and you have trouble breathing without it. Immediately after you notice the strangest thing: the other peson's needs are more important than your own! That's love, imo.

Absolutely! Even better if they're both with you in the same bed ... though I can't say I've ever experienced that. My next story may give it a try tho. But there are differences in the way you are in love different people. I hope no one asks me what I mean because I don't think I can explain that very well.

It's the best kind. There's no pity better than self-pity! I'm into one of those right now and the roller coaster is pure ecstasy even though I know I have to get off when she decides to stop the ride.

Well, the thing is- you all did provide the spark in a sense. I posted hoping to hear things that would reaffirm my decision to give up on a possible relationship.
Instead, I heard things that made me want to stick with it, despite the potential heartache down the road.
I know it's ultimately my decision; I am in the middle of the road, though, and I have no idea which way is the best to turn.

We may not have much choice on who we fall in love with, but we have alot of choice on who we accept to love. It's easy -- tho hurts like hell -- to shut off the emotional faucets.

I used to feel that way when I was younger, but then I think everything felt different then.

Also, I would like to add that everything is temporary. I know that's not very romantic to say but the truth of the matter is, love will be there forever, but the person probably won't. Love is always a good thing! It's the only thing in life that really matters. But sometimes the situations it creates are only tolerable for a period of time. And while it may seem unbearable, it sometimes helps to remember that pain dulls with time. You will make the decision that;s right for you in the end, or someone else will. All you need is time and a willingness to be open to the possibilities.
