I think I love you now. :D

My whole family looks at me like I'm insane because I put sugar in my grits! lol

It's the best (and ONLY) way to eat 'em! :D

(And, Laz - I think it's a southern thing.)

I always thought grits was a midwest thing.

I don't know about instant grits, but old-fashioned grits are a southern thing. ;)

Exactly. They should never be allowed to cross the Mason Dixon line.

Practically the South? Really? My southern drawl gets me some funny looks, even in southern Missouri.

Well for someone who is an upstater I fell like I am in the south when I go down there.

Whenever I go to Tennessee I can always tell I am getting closer to my destination by the gradual changing in accent everytime I fill up for gas.

I love southern accents, they are so sexy!

I was raised in the south...and there's no way you can get me to eat grits. It's like making a hot meal out of popcorn kernels/seeds.

Cream of wheat is where it's at.

s'up bob

instant grits are kinda cream-a-wheaty...
my theory is it all comes out of the same vat, into different boxes.

That's my choice, too. Hell, I won't even make instant cream of wheat. Gotta cook it on the stovetop nice and slowly. With milk, not water. *drools*
