A short bus refers to the type of buses for school children that are handicap accessible. Most of them are used for children who are mentally retarded and in special learning programs. That's why people joke about "the kids on the short bus". Really though, those are children with mental handicaps, and they shouldn't be made fun of.

If Columbus had landed in India I think people would still say he had "discovered" it, and well, you know what happened here (I'm guessing) so most likely something similar would've happened there.

But I would certainly LOVE to see links to direct comments Ish has made stating even 1/4 of what you've just said he's said.

What you read isn't always what is typed. Our own influences and experiences colors how we preceive things.

And if you think for one millisecond that any of this, your thread and lame insults against him, really bothers him. I hate to be the one to burst your happy lil bubble.. but I'm fairly certain that isn't the case. Instead you're just coming across as some crazy zealot.

However as for the India issue, the Europeans had made it there and back, India was the goal beacuse they had this thing about black pepper and cardamom and all the other spices that you could get there and nowehere else, among lots of other goodies.

So had CC made it there, my personal conjecture is that he would have come back with a bunch of cardamom, some silks, a few people with the surname Patel, and Queen Isabella would have paid him paraded him and then history would give him a small but far less significant footnote.

That is if he hadn't gotten some malady or eaten by tigers, or killed by local nobility.

2. Ishmael is a racist asshole. Check his Bashing Christians Again thread and wade through the crap if you don't believe that he has a problem with Native Americans.
3. I don't give a shit what you think about me or this thread. In my opinion, Ish comes across as a nut. So if you want to think I'm crazy then good for you. It's all a matter of perspective.

I've always wondered how people could sit idly by while one ogre practiced his craft again and again and still count that guy as a friend. I'm even more amazed when they're women.
