Who's seen it? And how much did you love it?

I just watched it for the first time, after a fairly lousy week. But this movie was just what I needed. Best movie I've seen in a long time.

I just finished watching it, too. :D

That damned kid in the airport gets me sniffling every time.

Fabulous movie, Soph!
In my top three of all time.
So glad you got to see it.

(And have you ever seen a cuter 10 year old boy in your life?)

I absolutely love it as well. I saw it a while ago and I have to see it again.

The kid was brilliant- loved that Let's go get the shit kicked out of us by love thing.

That movie gave me hope, something I've missing lately. Amazing how a movie or book can do that, isn't it?

I saw it a while ago, but I have to agree, I quite liked it as well. It was really quite interesting how they interwove the different plotlines and it was funny, more so than I expected really; it was a great movie.

I'll be the first of the men to chip in here and say that I love it too...

...course, I'm a hopeless romantic, as some of you know...

...but the porn stand-ins give guys an excuse to like it anyway...

Don't forget the Brit going to America and shagging the roommates.

I watched part of it and really liked it, but I can't watch a movie that long anymore; I just had too many other things to do. I'll have to catch it again... I loved Laura Linney... don't tell me what happened.

I haven't seen it yet, I don't think.

But a woman I dated use to rant about it.. ;)

I liked it how the English author learned Portuguese and went to Portugal to find his lost cleaning woman and propose to her!
And the patient widower who endured his son's drum practise and even encouraged him - and never once talked down to him when the boy had a "hopeless crush" on that girl.
And the scene where Rowan Atkinson is wrapping up a christmas present with Alan Rickman fuming with impatience... priceless!

I could never understand why that wimpy woman never just shut her cell phone OFF for an hour so she could shag her cute... was he her boss or just her coworker?

I watched love actually ages ago now, and loved it. My husband and I were all snuggled up on the sofa together, it's such a wonderful love film, it made us all teary eyed and thankful for what we've got :)

If Liam Neeson turned out to be gay, then I might just have to make a pass at him.

Cause that bit was about how she loved her brother so much that she sacrificed her own happiness to make him feel just a little bit better. Sad though.

I can only really watch it when I'm happy and attached; otherwise I get too maudlin.

I have a problem. I woke up with that damn Christmas song from the movie in my head. Grrr.

I'm so glad that y'all loved the movie too. I had to watch it alone, so it's nice to share with everyone here. :)

love, love, love this movie. i am a huge sap.
love the stars...
love the plot...
loved everything.

I originally just wanted to watch it because it had Alan Rickman (those glasses... guuuuh) in it (hey, I'm consistent in my shallowness!) but I LOVED it so much!

That film is fab!

Alan Rickman is one of the guys who almost push me over the bi/gay line.

Idiotic - it wasn't as if he appreciated it. I kept waiting for her to draw the line and tell him "yeah, I'm here for you, BUT I need to have my own life, too. Get a grip!"

Wow, everyone here loves this movie and I keep getting shit from all my friends for loving it. Maybe I got the wrong friends :p

It's one of those movies that every time it comes on I have to put down the clicker and watch it. Excellent, excellent, excellent cast! One of the best movie ensembles ever! I love every actor in it and yeah that kid is just adorable.

There's one deleted scene from that movie I wish they had left in. As was mentioned in one part of the movie the Liam Nieson character admitted to having a crush on Claudia Schiffer, at one point he decided to do a search for her online and find some pictures. He sees this one link "Claudia Schiffer naked pictures" so what does he do? He clicks on it of course and his computer gets bombarded with all these pop of for porn sites each one nastier than the other and he can't get rid of the pop ups. Just then the father of his dead wife (the kids grandfather) decides to drop in and wanted to get a look at the new computer. Liam tries to talk him out of it but that doesn't work, so then he grabs the kid and bribes him to take the blame for what's on the computer.

The grandfather comes in sees the computer and what's on it and Liam totally sets in on him for messing around on the computer.

I was howling when I watched it.

I loved all of the deleted scenes, actually.
The one where Emma Thompson's son is in trouble at school is classic!
And the plot about the head of the school and her partner was so touching.

Hilarious movie.

Oh boy ... Like the rest of you I actually love that movie :D. The cast is brilliant (well, except Heike Makatsch, the secretary who wants to shag Alan Rickman ... she was so misplaced in that movie its not even funny). Anyways ... the rest just rocks.

And I'd like to know how much young british guys went over to some small town in Minnesota to see if there are any beautiful women ... :D

There are too much things which are great to name them all ... If I ever have money again, this is very high on my "Must have this DVD" list ... and on my "Must watch this with some nice young lady" list :D.
