Which do you prefer? Constant noise ... or peace and quiet?

I like it when I can step out in the back yard and hear only nature -- birds, wind, etc. No human noises at all. No vehicles or machinery of any kind.

Quiet. I get enough noise at work. The best part of the day is when the grader, packers, hoe and skid steer all get turned off, the belly dumps and/or dump trucks have fucked off and I can take out/off my hearing protection. Its also great cos work is, like, over and its only two beers away from a beautiful day.

I like the sound of an air conditioner or a fan going. But I can't stand machinery or traffic. Or barking dogs.

I like a lot of noise. I nearly always have music playing or the TV on in the background.

What's moning?

Quiet, classical music, fans, a steady level of noise. Vegas actually doesn't bother me. Radio or tv when I am sleeping or trying to sleep does.

I get distracted easily, it's hard for me to have a conversation with a tv or talk radio on.

Some people's voices put me to sleep, I like that.

Silence. More specifically, the silence of a dead world. I'm working on it.

Hello darkness my old friend, I've come to talk with you again.

I HATE fans and air conditioner noise. I'd rather hear the sounds of the world around me. I work in music, so often if I'm at home I don't have music or TV on. In the evening I will have the TV on. When it's time to sleep I need TV or some music to get me out of my head so I can get to sleep.

I much prefer quiet. Silence, even. There's a reason I choose to live in the middle of nowhere.
