Who were those villagers with the pitchforks at the end following Locke 2.0 in his little parade? Where the hell did they come from? I love how the island just magically spits up new characters. *Who are these people?*

I believe they are the people who took the offer to leave the temple before the sundown ultimatum by Locke 2.0.

I don't see Sayid in the same light as Claire, at least not yet. Claire is seriously deranged, Sayid seems quite clear in his thinking, much like Locke 2.0. I liked the moment he shared with Dogen before killing him. Two people, very much alike, both willing to do whatever it takes for the ones they love. Dogen spoke of his son and the sacrifice he had to make for him, Sayid is doing what he's doing because Locke 2.0 pretty much promised he could be with Nadia again.

Yep, very D list. Will watch for Pamela Anderson (Paris Hilton and that Kardashian family owe so much to her and Tommy Lee) and Chad Johnson. He probably won't last more than 3 weeks unless he retires from the NFL sooner than later.

Kate Gosslin doesn't interest me but only because I haven't paid any mind to her. Would rather watch the Octomom instead.

Yes, Claire is too Russo-d out to have any clarity. She went crazy off the deep end over the loss of her child, just like Russo did. And, agreed, that was a delightful power balance to watch between Sayid and The Man Who Won't Speak English. So calm, so powerful, and unexpected. Well maybe not totally unexpected, just fast in a way that was unexpected. I jumped in my seat when he took him down. The fight sequences were *awesome.* I don't recall a better fight scene in any previous seasons. That was l-o-n-g.

Oh, and when Sayid killed the Egg Making Asshole in the kitchen who killed Alex, the beautiful, gorgeous, innocent daughter of Evil Fuck Ben? Justice. Right there. Justice. I cheered. I might have clapped, too.

And I'm with Morcheeba. Sayid looked *HOT* last night. Sooooo sweaty, and tangled hair and .... oh my..... wow.

Is there any risk of a spoiler? I feel like we've been down this road before ..... sigh. I hate spoilers! I won't even read my RSS feeds the day before, day of or day after Lost. Just in case.....

More Small Questions:
Anyone catch the words of that song Claire was sing-songing in that crazy little voice while trapped in that hole the Candidate Guards (fun little nickname I just assigned them) put her in? And was it the same song that was playing -- sort of a whimsical, lilting tune -- after Sayid went total apeshit crazy? I thought it sounded ... familiar. For some reason my mind went back to the first appearance of the Hatch and the record collection that flashed as Desmond pulled that album out and put it on the turntable.

Big hit for Perry Como in the 60s. Claire's mum probably sang it to her. And it is the same song that's played as Sayid walks through the carnage. As chilling a moment as there has been on Lost.

Falling star = Lucifer? Claire and Sayid now have a bit of Smokey in them. (In their pocket?)

I'm thinking now that the Los Angeles scenes we are seeing now might be showing us what happens if Smokey wins, and we might see the island folks and the L.A. folks working the problem from both ends to make things right and "return a balance to the Force."
