Lost

Who were those villagers with the pitchforks at the end following Locke 2.0 in his little parade? Where the hell did they come from? I love how the island just magically spits up new characters. *Who are these people?*

I believe they are the people who took the offer to leave the temple before the sundown ultimatum by Locke 2.0.

I don't see Sayid in the same light as Claire, at least not yet. Claire is seriously deranged, Sayid seems quite clear in his thinking, much like Locke 2.0. I liked the moment he shared with Dogen before killing him. Two people, very much alike, both willing to do whatever it takes for the ones they love. Dogen spoke of his son and the sacrifice he had to make for him, Sayid is doing what he's doing because Locke 2.0 pretty much promised he could be with Nadia again.

 I heart you!

I'm not happy with the new line up of D list celebs...but I am curious to see how Kate Gosslin does, and I also wonder how they are going to keep Pam Anderson's boobs from popping out of those skimpy costumes!

Right back at you, darlin'

Yep, very D list. Will watch for Pamela Anderson (Paris Hilton and that Kardashian family owe so much to her and Tommy Lee) and Chad Johnson. He probably won't last more than 3 weeks unless he retires from the NFL sooner than later.

Kate Gosslin doesn't interest me but only because I haven't paid any mind to her. Would rather watch the Octomom instead.

Buzz Aldren? Puhleeeeeeeze. I hope Cheryl gets him as a partner.

Erin Andrews will be interesting since I've already seen her naked and doing butt crunches in a hotel room. The rest sans the Olympic skater, I don't really know.

By the way, Sayid looked super hot last night. All sweaty and I love his penetrating eyes.

Getting tired of Locke being such a bully without answers. Of COURSE he wants to be with the woman he loved more than anything and who died in his arms.

He (Locke/Bad Guy/Jacob/Whoever) keeps dangling a huge carrot over his victims and it's getting sickening.

P.S. Sayid, lose the greasy Jeri Curls and come to Cheeba baby...

I *love* that you're calling him Locke 2.0, haha.

Yes, Claire is too Russo-d out to have any clarity. She went crazy off the deep end over the loss of her child, just like Russo did. And, agreed, that was a delightful power balance to watch between Sayid and The Man Who Won't Speak English. So calm, so powerful, and unexpected. Well maybe not totally unexpected, just fast in a way that was unexpected. I jumped in my seat when he took him down. The fight sequences were *awesome.* I don't recall a better fight scene in any previous seasons. That was l-o-n-g.

Oh, and when Sayid killed the Egg Making Asshole in the kitchen who killed Alex, the beautiful, gorgeous, innocent daughter of Evil Fuck Ben? Justice. Right there. Justice. I cheered. I might have clapped, too.

And I'm with Morcheeba. Sayid looked *HOT* last night. Sooooo sweaty, and tangled hair and .... oh my..... wow.

Well, it's getting interesting anyway.
I have to re-watch last week's episode every week before the new show to get all the pop-up messages to remind me what's happening. Wish I had a photographic memory.
Here's a good recap, including the comments afterward:

Is there any risk of a spoiler? I feel like we've been down this road before ..... sigh. I hate spoilers! I won't even read my RSS feeds the day before, day of or day after Lost. Just in case.....

I loved the one fan's comment about how the show might end, with Jack and Sawyer both on the beach, and Sawyer saying to Jack "Do you know how much I want to kill you?" :D

OH! That would just be perfect as an ending, actually. Whatever happened to that guy who was on the beach with Jacob, the yin to his yang? I'm probably wrong, but the mysterious beach guy hasn't made an appearance since that 'Do you know how much I want to kill you?" episode, has he?

Well I could be wrong but we suspect the man from the Beach is indeed the smoke monster who has now assumed the form of John Locke.

Question: Got some scoop for you: Neil Patrick Harris will play the live action lead in The Smurfs movie. Since I got you some scoop, how about some Lost scoop in return? —Antonio
Ausiello: Thanks for keeping me plugged-in, Antonio. Here’s your Lost scoop: If you’re expecting the Sawyer/Kate/Jack triangle to move front and center during these final 10 episodes, it may be time to start managing those expectations. “We’re moving into the endgame of the show [and] the stakes have moved beyond, ‘Who’s Kate going to pick?’ and into, ‘Is anyone going to be left alive?,’ says executive producer Damon Lindelof. “I hope [viewers are] going to be satisfied with what we’re doing, but we’re not writing a romance novel here. I understand in seasons past how that was much more relevant. We’re not neglecting it, but there’s a lot of fish to fry. The elements of the love triangle — Kate’s relationship with Jack, her relationship with Sawyer, Sawyer’s relationship with Juliet, who’s dead — are a huge part of the season. All that stuff is in play.”

Question: Will we find out why Richard doesn’t age on Lost? —Julie
Ausiello: Yes. The big reveal occurs in the March 23 Richard-centric episode. And if you think you know the answer, think again. “I definitely had a number of theories about why he doesn’t age and I was dead wrong,” confesses Nestor Carbonell, who adds that the episode is unconventional in that “the ‘A’ story focuses on the origins of this character. There’s a little bit of stuff on the island, but not much. It [mostly] deals with the past.”

There is a whole history of dead people and out of place people , turning up. For a while I have wondered if they all have their source in one entity that just shape-shifts to suit its need , the situation , and the individual it seeks to influence.
Possibly including Ben.
That guys behaviours have been all over the place , from alpha psycho to uber timid wuss.
Might that not be some form of 'possession' factor.

If Sayid killed Dogen in the resurrection jacuzzi, could Dogen then be temporarily dead, instead of really dead?

No, because Sayid wasn't resurrected in the pool. If you remember when the resurrection pool was first shown, the Others noted it was no longer clear.

Nope

I wouldn't post any spoiler crap. And if I ever did, I'd warn people.
No, this was only some explainations and recap of what happened.:)

Duly noted. And thank you for that. I must protect my Lost Innocence at all costs.

I also wonder why Jacob stays in his present form while smoke monster asshole shift changes?

And BigGator is right ... Sayid resurrected on the ground, by the pool. He was killed in the water by The Others.

Isn't Jacob also the little blonde haired kid that said "you know the rules"?

Or is that God and/or some celestial referee?

I totally wondered that, too, about Jacob appearing as the kid. Or, wait. Do you mean the episode where the blonde kid showed up in the forest?

I heart the term "celestial referee." I intend to steal that.

More Small Questions:
Anyone catch the words of that song Claire was sing-songing in that crazy little voice while trapped in that hole the Candidate Guards (fun little nickname I just assigned them) put her in? And was it the same song that was playing -- sort of a whimsical, lilting tune -- after Sayid went total apeshit crazy? I thought it sounded ... familiar. For some reason my mind went back to the first appearance of the Hatch and the record collection that flashed as Desmond pulled that album out and put it on the turntable.

Catch a falling star and put it in your pocket,
Never let it fade away!
Catch a falling star and put it in your pocket,
Save it for a rainy day!

Big hit for Perry Como in the 60s. Claire's mum probably sang it to her. And it is the same song that's played as Sayid walks through the carnage. As chilling a moment as there has been on Lost.

Falling star = Lucifer? Claire and Sayid now have a bit of Smokey in them. (In their pocket?)

I'm thinking now that the Los Angeles scenes we are seeing now might be showing us what happens if Smokey wins, and we might see the island folks and the L.A. folks working the problem from both ends to make things right and "return a balance to the Force."

I can get on board with that theory, easily.
