Lost

I think they were following the HBO playbook where a show like the Sopranos takes two years off. Leave it to Network executives to kill a good show. That said, we are heading into the holiday season and events like football and christmas specials take center stage.

Fuck the holiday bullshit, finish the damn season proper.

I'm not happy about it either, but I can also understand it.

Since the show began they would show the reruns during this time but got so much flak about it they decided to take it off the air instead. At least we know that there won't be a new episode until Feb. instead of having new, old, old, new, old, new crap.

They need to start tightening up some things. There are way to many loose ends.

Why would they introduce two new characters now (the two with Loch & Desmond)?

Did anyone notice the name of the airline on the tickets Kate's husband gave her?
Oceanic, or the name of the company on her pregnancy test - I think it was the Windmore or Widmore (whatever they're called) labs.

Anyway - For You Sawyer and Kate fans

The tickets were Oceanic, but I didn't catch a name on the Pregtest.

It was great to see Nathan Fillion. Lost really kicks ass when it comes to guest stars: Peg Bundy, Mal Reynolds, Roy Desoto, Denise Bauer, Joanie Stubbs and, of course, Sergeant Zim!!!

February? What the hell?

I don't care if THE SOPRANOS did this, it absolutely disgusts me.

Sawyer is the only one I like better this season.

I'm totally keen on him. Wish he'd portrayed Sonny Crockett in the Miami Vice flick over Colin Farrell (with a much better screenplay, of course)... that's how keen I am for him.

That whole "letting Jack out to see Kate and Sawyer" seemed contrived to me too. I couldn't tell who was speaking through the intercom but I thought it was Juliet. I didn't think it was Alex. I figured it was a set up by Juliet to force Jack to perform the surgery.

I was a little strange giving Jack the opportunity to wander around (not that he had the chance to do much). There was certianly some "push" by Juliet to get Kate and Sawyer together though. I'm not sure if that was the exact plan but the result was the same. I figured that Jack would want both K & S to escape but he only said Kate ... wonder what's up with that?

Of course Jack doesn't know about being on the second island so I expect that it shouldn't be a problem to release K & S next season then recapture them within the hour they have before Ben kicks it.

What's also strange was that there was no mention of how they got on the second island in the first place. It was like at the end of last season, Jack, Kate and Sawyer were knocked out or anything. The new season just started off with a bang with them already on island 2. Was there any mention of how exactly that happened?

Jack woke up in his cell at the start of the season, so they must have been drugged for their trip to Other Island.

That's what I thought as well since Sawyer and Kate also just "woke up" but no mention of it was ever made when they were captured on the dock. Just a continuity error I suspect.

I don't think it was an error as much as it was just something they didn't think they needed to show, not considering how all of us losties would bend our brains trying to figure out "what it all means!!!"

They kept it vague on purpose, I think, so that we would feel as lost and dis-oriented as JK&S.

Jack was definitley drugged - Juliet told him the drugs they gave him had the side effect of dehydration...certainly Kate and Sawyer were too.

Well is has been severl very interesting stories so far and I have to say writes have done a good job dis-orienting me. Always more questions!! damn their oily hides.

Thanks LadyJ, must have forgotten that part. Ok I'm feeling better that everything ties together now.

I guess from all the clues last night and at the beginning of the season that the "others" must have their main camp on the big island but what's with all the work on the smaller island?!!? The picture drawn on the emergency door in the first "hatch" made no mention of it that I can remember ... argh!

I could go on all day.

This will be my last post in here until NEXT FEBRUARY  so here are some more things....

The actor who portrays the man who had the spinal surgery, omfg. I hope the casting agent(s) who selected him as the main villain got a yacht and fifty French whores because he is absolutely perfect! It's been a long time since I've been both creeped out and also intrigued about a television charater. Those fuggin eyes of his!

I always wanted Kate to simply lust for Sawyer but deep down love Jack. So, I'm confused with all that has happened.

Finally, the main reason I'm pissed off about them deciding to go on such a long hiatus is that I missed a couple episodes while thinking, 'oh hell, no need to record because they'll repeat them over and over.'

Anyway, I'll bump this baby next fucking year.

Later.

I'll watch again, but I thought they were referring to Sawyer when they said he wasn't even on the list. That would make more sense.

If you go out to ABC's website, you can watch the full shows in on your computer. They have all of this season's episodes up, and only about three 30-second commercials in each episode.

Why, thanky very much, Shortcake. :)

* I like how Sawyer says, "C'mere..." right before the clip ends.

ywv. =)

I agree with your other post, by the way.

They were indeed speaking of Jack not being on the list. (just watched that clip over)

"Ben just put his life in the hands of one of them. Sheppard wasn't even on Jacob's list"

In case anyone's forgotten, that's Jack's last name.

Here's a promo for Lost from the UK that I saw on youtube and liked. I think this was the Original promo , instead of the voice over one.

Yeah that was hot when he kinda grunted and pulled her shirt over her head. You think they got down and did it doggy style? You think anybody wanked while watching on the millions of monitors?

I do. Makes it more interesting for me.

I just want to pick you up and put you in my pocket and take you home.

THANK YOU!!
Duh *smacks self on forehead* I forgot Jacks last name was Sheppard! I've been watching Firefly DVDs for the last little while so I thought he was talking about a priest. I was also happy to see Nathan on the show too, he'll always be the Captian to me.

Hiya Jinxy :) Hope things are well your side of the world.

Is Alex, The one with the slingshot, Rousseau's daughter? (The crazy french woman) who seems to be forgotten

I think so. They've been skimpy in the storyline explaining this and just about every other damn thing.

Change in scheduling...

ABC Moves 'Lost' Out of 'Idol's' Way

LOS ANGELES (Dec. 06) - ABC is reshuffling its Wednesday lineup, launching a two-hour comedy block and moving the hit drama "Lost" to 10 p.m.

With the shift from 9 p.m. to 10 p.m. when "Lost" returns with all-original episodes Feb. 7, the Emmy-winning drama will no longer face the "American Idol" results show.

That unenviable task has been assigned to buzzworthy new heist comedy "The Knights of Prosperity," which will air in the Wednesday 9 p.m. slot, followed by another new half-hour, "In Case of Emergency."

"Knights" stars Donal Logue as the leader of a group of misfits plotting to rob Mick Jagger. "Emergency" is an ensemble comedy with a cast including David Arquette and Greg Germann.

ABC's two-hour Wednesday comedy block will premiere Jan. 3 with episodes of "According to Jim" running back to back from 8-9 p.m. It will have two weeks to establish itself before "Idol" arrives on the night with an 8-10 p.m. Wednesday premiere.

ABC's comedy block will take final shape Jan. 24 when "George Lopez " joins the lineup at 8 p.m. with "Jim" airing at 8:30 p.m.

The network's announcement of "Lost's" move to 10 p.m. came on the same day Hearst-Argyle president and CEO David Barrett raised concerns at the Credit Suisse Media and Telecom Week conference in New York about ABC's weakness in the hour leading into local stations' 11 p.m. newscasts.

While having "Lost" at 10 p.m. is sure to improve the fortunes of ABC stations' late newscasts, the move of the young-skewing fantasy series, which has been a family viewing favorite, to the 10 p.m. hour normally reserved for adult-oriented dramas, raised a few eyebrows.

It has not been determined what will air in the Wednesday 10 p.m. slot in January until "Lost" returns. The low-rated new drama "Day Break," which has been subbing in "Lost's" Wednesday 9 p.m. slot, might migrate to 10 p.m.

Meanwhile, the reality series "Show Me the Money," which runs in the Wednesday 8 p.m. hour, will move to Tuesday at 8 p.m. starting Jan. 2.
