Lost

Hey, he took out Ethan. Had that nice line about trees being great conversationalists, and frankly, I see him charming those adorable polar bears with his soulful guitar playing and using them to fight the Others.

Poor Eko. I'd have him on my Other-hunting party.

The Losties odds in a war against the Others just got worse. Again. Ana and Eko were their best shooters.

I heard the actor who plays Eko say on TV yesterday that he asked to be written out so he could direct a movie.

I haven't missed Shannon, Boone or Libby in the least. They all bugged me. Ana L I do miss. Interesting character and easy on the eyes.

What is up with Juliette's tape to Jack? That was strange. Maybe she is playing mind games in order to break Jack or maybe she does want Ben dead cause he's an evil guy or maybe she is more evil than Ben?? They do look like they have some conflicts, or that could be a smoke screen.

Fall Finale

After tonight's episode, only the sixth of the still-young fall television season, ABC will take Lost off the air for 13 weeks. The show will return Feb. 7 for a run of 16 or 17 new episodes that will carry viewers into late May. I am SO NOT LIKING THIS!

Also, for those of you taping on DVR, TIVO or VCR, the show tonight runs 62 minutes long.

"I Do"
Jack makes a decision regarding Ben's offer; Kate feels helpless when it looks like Pickett is going to make good on his threat to kill Sawyer; Locke discovers a hidden message that may help unlock the island's secrets.

I'm not real happy about it either, but apparently too many people complain and the ratings are too low when the show airs repeats. this way when the show comes back in february we'll have all new episodes for the rest of the season. I have to admit that I like that aspect of it...

THIRTEEN WEEKS?!?!? My jaw actually dropped open.

Sons of bitches. No offense to their mothers.

Eh, I'm hoping Daybreak is good.

Taye Diggs works for me as eye candy.

*SPOILER ALERT for West Coast people*

Juliette seemed all shocked that Jack would sabotage the surgery...why, when she suggested that he botch it in the first place?

Does anyone else think Ben is gay? Maybe that's why Kate wouldn't be his "type"?

Either she's a good actress in front of the others or she knew he wouldn't because of his integrity....

I'm settling in for a long winter's nap now that my Wednesday night entertainment is gone.

It wasn't Ben who said Kate wasn't his type--it was the older guy (the one Jack was ordering around at the end of tonight's show).

I'm not sure this episode had enough to tide people over for 3 months. We needed a major new revelation.

Maybe that guy is Ben's secret lover. He was awfully upset that Jack put Ben's life in danger - practically crying over the walkie talkie.

And yeah, the message on the stick wasn't enough for me.

Wow. Jack's got some balls, finally.

And woohoo! for Malcom from "Serenity" and "Firefly" as Kate's husband! I'm glad to see him on one of the hottest shows, if only for a flashback.

This show needs a whoppin' dose of conflict resolution sometime real soon. It's gettin' old is all I'm sayin'.

I'm getting tired of straining my brain to think about what's going on, have we seen that person before in a flashback or something, or what Jack told Kate on the beach like fifteen years ago. Yes, it's been like less than three months for them, but it has been a long fucking time for me.

Answer. Some fucking. Questions. Rih-nah!

This is why I dig Heroes so much more. I have a feeling that on their season finales, questions will be answered. If not, well I guess I'll just have to load up and head down to showbiz town and start runnin' drive by's on anyone that looks like they might ever write a t.v. script.

I just finished watching.

Am I the only one who thinks Kate fucked Sawyer so that Jack would see and save him? She did say she'd do anything, who's to say that Juliet didn't tell her that's what needed to be done. After all, the fact that suddenly Jack could just walk out of his 'cell' and watch the videos is pretty funny timing. Add to that her vehemence that she wouldn't leave without him (Jack).

Someone needs to bitchslap the execs at ABC. A 2 1/2 month mid-season layoff between shows when plot elements from previous shows are supposed to be meaningful is sheer stupidity. They should take a play out of Fox's playbook and start the series in January like they do 24 and run off the episodes straight through.

I think that's very plausible. The doors wouldn't just magically be open, and wasn't it Juliet who had originally told Jack the intercom hadn't worked for years...I think it was her on the intercom telling him to open the door.

I question why Jack was given access to the guns, though.

stonedfox - I found this online, because that was driving me nuts as well!

He tells Kate about his first spinal surgery. He was operating on a 16 year old girl. Everything was going fine. He was closing her up, and sliced (on accident) the bottom of her spine where all the nerves come together. He tells Kate how he let fear in himself, for just 5 seconds. 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. And then went back to work. She ended up being fine.

There might be more significance other than just making sure that she's safe else she could fake the story since only the two of them know about it.

If they did that, SW, people would be upset anyway.

I wondered as well, LJ, figured that they probably weren't loaded with real bullets.

Guess Ben raised Alex and considers her his daughter even though she's the French womans.

There's more, but it's late and I'm sleepy. =)

Yeah, I kind of thought about that a bit more after I posted. A half year layover from end to beginning wouldn't really work since on Lost they never actually resolve anything like they do on 24. On that show once the season is over its over and on to another plot entirely.

Oh, cool.

I had one of those screaming at the tv moments then...Jack's all like "do you remember what I told you on the beach that first day?"

Kate's all, "whaa whaa, no...sniffle cry cry sniffle cry...whaa whaa!"

And I'm all like, "NO! I don't remember because it was fifteen years ago you stupid bastard! So just spit it the fuck out so nobody has to whip out their Amex and go traipsing around the internet to find out what the fuck you are talking about!!!!"

Then my head exploded and I died.

Letting Jack out to see Kate and Sawyer is very confusing to me. If Ben let him out so Jack would have his hopes of Kate dashed and want to go home and would therefore do the operation, that makes sense, but NOT if they leave the gun cabinet open.

(Jack checked the clip in the pistol, so he knows it was loaded. It could have been loaded with duds, though. What I didn't understand is why Jack didn't sling a couple of those AKs over his shoulder and stuff his pockets with clips. He can't think he could fight his way out of that place with one pistol? Wasn't he planning to rescue Kate and Sawyer?)

If Juliet let him out, why? Does she want Ben cured or not? Is she trying to break up Jack and Kate so she can have him for herself?

Maybe Alex let him out. Ain't she cute, btw?

Maybe he thought they'd have a better chance at making it this way.
Of course he did get sidetracked by the show.

I don't think Juliet is as nice of a person as she plays.
I thought it sounded like Alex on the intercom.

And what was with the "he wasn't even on the list" remark about Jack?! And who the hell is Jacob who gave them the list?

:D stoney

Bitchslap them hard.

I think they were following the HBO playbook where a show like the Sopranos takes two years off. Leave it to Network executives to kill a good show. That said, we are heading into the holiday season and events like football and christmas specials take center stage.
