Lost

He was in PotA? hmmm.

Still an actor?
He was the Commander of the Space Station at the beginning of the movie.
Am I still an actor? Yes, semi-pro. Not a lot of work for a Shakespearian in this country.

Maybe Fox will come out with "The Real Brutus" or "The Ophelia"

stage acting is a much more honorable forum. and there are some shakespeare companies that float about.

I think last night would have been better had they left charlie dead. Woulda been a lot more dramatic.
I originally thought it was kinda weak the way ethan could single-handedly drag off two people. But after he beat the crap out of jack, it made it a little more believable.
Right there at the end last night, were lock and company uncovering a window of some sort? I know originally it sounded like metal, but that last tap sounded different and what they last showed them wiping off looked more like a windshield. Anybody else see that?

Why did they kill Charlie if they were only going to bring him back to life???

Gimme a break. I liked Charlie and would have hated to see him die but it was a TREMENDOUS impact to see him hanging there and having him die. Then we get that cliche chest pounding after being told to 'let him go'.

If you're gonna kill someone KILL SOMEONE!!

And now we have re-runs next week? Well it will give all the newbies a chance to catch up.

If they were showing Lost one hour later, they could get away with a lot more than they do. Something about the "family values" hour of TV slated for the first hour of prime time viewing.

The entire story arc had nothing to do with Charlie. It was all about Jack & his moral decisions and how they haunt him. I'm going to guess his speaking out against his father is what drove the old man to Australia. His mom said "after what you've done" to Jack when she guilted him in to going to find his dad. Up until this episode, we didn't know what Jack had done or why his dad went to Australia & killed himself (essentially).

I totally agree with you. My reaction was, wow they have balls to kill Charlie, he was liked after all. And then they resurrected him, booooo whoooo!

I will still continue watching the show tho ;)

Right, and he was guilty that he couldn't save that person that his father killed on the operating table - they were sure to show that part, so it explained his refusal to give up on trying to rez Charlie.

(Wasn't Jack's character in Party Of Five named Charlie?)

oh my, yes thats Matthew Fox!

he was so "ordinary looking" in Party Of Five.. getting older suit him very well.

Good eye, Angel.

According to co-creator Damon Lindelof, The Crazy Frenchwoman, Danielle Rousseau is named for Jean-Jaques Rousseau, the philosopher who wrote of "the noble savage." Lindelof also said that all of the characters names have "purpose and meaning."

Any ideas about that folks?

Locke is most likely named for another philosopher John Locke, who was in poor health and didn't write his great works until late in life.

"...he that will not give just occasion to think that all government in the world is the product only of force and violence, and that men live together by no other rules but that of beasts, where the strongest carries it...must of necessity find another rise of government, another original of political power..."
---from The Second Treatise of Civil Government

Unfortunately, all of the websites I've found about the characters on the show only list them by their first names.

So, I just saw a commercial for "Live Links" ... a phone service ... and the spokes model is none other than Evangeline Lilly ... aka Kate. Either that or some other brunette model with freckles has her crooked little chin. And voice. And smile.

Guess that was her 1 prior speaking part.

Dave asked her about it when she was on Letterman and he played the clip. She said it was her first gig and it is still being played.

Yeah, I was just wondering if it was from the current flight, or the 'other' accident.

fuck! I missed the beginning.

Sawyer & Kate stripped down to swim in a waterfall-fed lake they found ... diving, they found a row of seas with a family buckled in & holding hands.

Beneath the father's seat: The Marshal's briefcase ... now in Sawyer's possession.

And Boone told his sister, Shannon she's useless.
