Lost

I think the dude put her on the plane, knowing that it was going to crash, to force her to keep the baby since he said that she was the only person that could keep it safe.

As for the psychic and the preg. girl .. is her child like the devil's seed or some thing he seemed to want her to get on that plane and get lost in the jungle.

It wasn't the most sane way to get on a plane ... she could have said no. Ultimately, her character exists to provide some stability and normalcy for the misfit Charlie.

Thing is, Airlines wouldn't let a woman in her 3rd trimester get on a plane. But I agree the intent was to force momma to keep the baby.
I could see locke going all nazi regime at some point. Especially if we can establish a substantial enemy presence.
I also thought it was interesting the comment jack made near the beginning.
Freckles: what are you doing here.
Jack: just bringing water and collecting food.
Do you see the beginnings of an economic system. This will eventually create a divide. two states if you will. And then we have Sawyer, sitting on an abundance of tradable commodities. He's the smartest one on the island.
The extra survivor is obviously Alex, the french ladies son. I was under the impression that the french crew had been killed off by some virus for which the syrum(sp?) made you(at least her and Sy'id) hear voices. and alex was probably born with a natural resistance, but still is a carrier.
Also, in the previous show, I thought the french lady seemed scared more of her son than for him.
Somebody made a reference to one of the prime 14 dying. Think it could be Merry... er Charlie?

its an interesting show, just moving very, very slow....hey that rhythms

the pregnant girl is very attractive as are all of the ladies on the island. I need to find a flight like that and hope for the best!!

Isn't it odd that only the passengers survived but none of the flight attendants? Maybe the crazy canadian was really a flight steward. His name wouldn't be on the manifest ya know.

I dont think they will used a known actor to play that part anyway. Who didnt guess that this new "survivor" was the bad guy, son of Danielle?

slow show and always predictable.

still, am watching it anyway maybe I will get some surprises along the way.

Ya the better pick up the Pace a bit and answer a few questions before throwing more new ones into the mix or they are gonna lose viewers........

But say he was a psychotic flight steward who crashed the plane in the first place. Now THAT would be unpredicted. Alas, you're right unfortunately. I generally have it 75% figured out in the first 5 minutes.

me too but for almost anything I watch or read... and made this 90%.

friends and relatives get mad at me when I start watching something and tell them all the rest before seing it lol

Flight crew would be listed on the manifest.

Of course it's moving slow, this is a television series not a movie. They have more time for character and plot development and they also need a way of stretching it out into a nice series.

Damn! I was so hoping for the psychotic steward plot.
Oh well, something new everyday.

It's hard to know what to believe from a crazy woman who hears voices.
It seems to me that if there is a power cable running to the island, you could cut it and someone would come to fix it. And if it is a power cable running to an island in the middle of the Pacific, that's a helluva long cable.

So my friend and I are talking about Lost and he runs his theory past me.............

friend (2:49:44 PM): i'm still trying to figure that show out
friend (2:49:50 PM): i think they are all dead
sara (2:49:56 PM): hmmmmm...maybe
friend (2:50:00 PM): they just don't know it
friend (2:50:06 PM): or in some kind of limbo
sara (2:50:14 PM): that's a good theory
friend (2:50:23 PM): and their souls are up in the air kinda
sara (2:50:29 PM): i like that theory
friend (2:50:33 PM): the biblical references
friend (2:50:36 PM): adam and eve
sara (2:50:47 PM): right.....
friend (2:50:49 PM): and guy with the white and black eyes last episode
friend (2:51:03 PM): lots of biblical references if you pay attention
friend (2:51:14 PM): and the guy in the wheelchair
friend (2:51:24 PM): who suddenly can run
friend (2:51:28 PM): and jump and crap
sara (2:51:38 PM): yeah
sara (2:51:43 PM): i never looked at it that way
sara (2:52:02 PM): there's a thread about Lost on Literotica
sara (2:52:10 PM): i'll have to try your theory out on them
friend (2:52:20 PM): the next time you watch the show
friend (2:52:26 PM): try to watch it from the angle that
friend (2:52:30 PM): they are all dead
sara (2:52:30 PM): yeah, i will
sara (2:52:33 PM): definitely
sara (2:52:35 PM): that makes sense
friend (2:52:37 PM): now
friend (2:52:49 PM): some got killed on the plane crash
friend (2:52:51 PM): i know
friend (2:52:56 PM): that kinda screws things up
friend (2:53:25 PM): but what if the remaining
friend (2:53:47 PM): have some part to play in the whole good vs. evil
friend (2:53:55 PM): i dunno
friend (2:54:01 PM): but the baby
friend (2:54:20 PM): either he sent them on that plane because he knew it would crash and kill it
friend (2:54:36 PM): or the baby needs to be part of the battle upcoming
sara (2:54:45 PM): hmmmmm
sara (2:54:59 PM): now i'm going to have to totally rethink the way i look at it
friend (2:56:30 PM): i hope i'm not totally off

Maybe the people who "died" on the island actually survived the crash?

mutt
on the island for sale thread a few days back somebody said you generate electricity by putting a generator in the ocean which turn due to ocean currents to generate electricity.

Sara

I don't believe they could all have died, or are dead.
If so, why would half the planeload have "died" and half "Survived".

Now, there IS the black woman who is confident that her missing husband is alive, so, he probably is somewhere.

I do believe there are magical forces at work that distort reality into a fifth dimension of sorts.

AND, Damn, aren't the women on this show beautiful!
Not to mention the men, but that's for someone else to marvel at.

Yeah, but she is dead, thus they can't find each other. Maybe people will slowly begin appearing on the island as the slip into death in "the real world".

I don't believe they are all dead, it's not the way serial television is formatted. True, the show buck a lot of trends, but if they want to extend it past one season, the principals can't be dead. I know the story moves slow, but no body will watch more than one season of a show with a "dead" cast. My theory is the people were all gassed by a terrorist on the plane and the whole scenario is some bizarre experiment of mind control by some lunatic scientist.

or...

they might be dead...

That's just my opinion, I could be wrong.

Beco said:
thats what I thought, they were all dead.....

While I personally think this is less Sixth Sense & more Castaway ... your theory could be supported by the fact that after two weeks in the sun, none of them have sunburned and the men aren't getting very scruffy.
