Dude, that's the clothing line. Didn't you ever watch Gilligans Island? Speaking of, they're doing a remake.

Anyways, exactly wtf was it about the watch? I know she said her husband was suppose to protect it or something, that it was her fathers. That her husband didn't know she could speak English. Then it flashed back to her at the airport crying, did it show why?

I was watching it while I played my Sims 2. *hangs head*

She was leaving her husband. There was a car outside waiting for her to sneak her away while he was in line, and he glanced over at her, showed her a flower (earlier in the show on another flashback, she'd remarked to him that she remembered when all he needed to do was bring her a flower to make her smile) and she started crying and didn't leave him.

Oh, that makes sense.

Stupid woman though, falling for a flower.

Regarding the watch, Her father was (based on what I see in it) a boss in some kind of mafia. And he was the husbands' boss to boot. When you're given an order by a mafia boss, you do it! regardless of how foolish the plight seems.

Thats what I got out of it! When she spoke perfect english, that was a kicker!!

Yeah. Why would she keep that from her husband?
Maybe they weren't married long enough for the conversation to come up, but the flashbacks did show the pug puppy fully grown. That'd have to be at least a year.
I can see it not being obvious if you live in a society where its not often spoken though.

My impression was that she learned English in preparation for her escape from her husband. That is why she keeps it secret. The woman who was helping her asked her something about it.They didn't explain in the flashback why they were in Australia. My thinking is that she planned to make her escape there, an English-speaking country

One of the fun aspects of the show is that as soon as they give you an answer to one thing they give you more questions to ponder.

One of my biggest questions is what did Locke see and why hasnt he told anyone ? And why wasnt he killed by the "monster" like the pilot was ?

One of the best things about the show is that they are taking their time. One day per episode, near as I can figure. Some of my friends at work find this very frustrating. I think it's great.
It makes me wonder, tho. Is the actor who plays the fat, slacker dude on a crash diet? If the show lasts 7 years, will he get down to 180?

This is precisely what I like about the show. It's almost like reading a book....learning bits and pieces as we go along. Not too much, just enough to make you want to read the next chapter.

Locke is the bald guy right??

He wasn't killed because on the Island you can achieve your goals and dreams, and concur your demons. He dreams of being a great hunter, so....why he hasn't told anyone beats me

Because they already think he's weird. If he told others he'd be outcast. as an insane lunatic. You have to remember, out of such a tragic event he's the only one who sees it in a positive light or a gift, if you will.

I do find the pace a bit painstaking at times. I like all the character development and stuff, but the drawnout melodrama and such get a touch monotanous (sp?).

you're right, he is the one who discovered the gift and he taught the gift to the guitar player so far. I wont to know the mystery of Kate, what did she do??

I find her character rather annoying. And the Doc is so pathetic for wasting time trying to befriend her. I'm pulling for the long haired shady fella that's always wheelin' and dealin'.

It has been suggested that they may be already dead and this Island is a sort of purgatory of sorts.

the guy from Tikrit in Iraq?

Kinda sixth sense or something. That was actually my original thought since nobody has ever lived through a plane crash from any significant height.
But after this week it doesn't make sense. If that were so Merry would have his drugs AND his guitar. Plus he might actually hook up with one of the chicks :D

Knaw. The fella they originally thought was the outlaw. Shoulder length blond hair and sunglasses.

ahhhh the bum!

he is cute, verrrrra.

I love this show !

I have only missed one episode, the one where they kill the polar bear or some thing along those lines.

I want to know what is that thing that seems to move through the trees, at first I was thinking it was a dinosaur!

But then I got that whole Jurassic theory out of my head-hee hee-

I think the whole thing is like a dream of some sort .... :)

She said it was her father's watch, and that her husband was wearing it. I figured that he was just afraid of losing a very expensive watch that his powerful father in law gave him.

God this show goes so excrutiatingly slow...argggg!!!

Okay, so now we know....umm...shit...the guy from the band's...story. He's all better now, how nice.

So who whacked the guy from tikrit in the head? Did he get the signal? I know they'll eventually come across the camp from the past....but what will they find?

Next week looks kinda good though...but who's story will we have to slog through first?

I still like it though...even if Kate didn't lose her shirt this week :)
