lost story: magic academy, butterfly queen and talking swords

So, this will be a hard one I'm afraid. I recon this story is at least 10 years old.

I only remember bits and pieces, but hopefully it sparks something. would love to find it back!

I'm fairly certain it was under "mind control", and the premise was that there was a secret world (pretty sure with a butterfly queen mind controlling everyone). the protagonist does eventually find this out, and breaks free(?).

And I'm about 80% sure they had magical talking swords, that they would need to convince to materialize.

Any and all help is more then welcome, hope this awesome community can help me find it again!

damn, as soon as I read the author it came back to me. such a shame he/she never finished is.
sucks if life gets in the way. and if they ever read this, your story meant a lot to me and the way you wrote is inspiring! I wish you all the best in your next chapter!

Always saddens me to see amazing writers disappear (Noble_Truth for example).
