I'm looking for a lost story about a British woman missing and presumed drowned who turns up at what I believe is a Caribbean resort with her fiancé and several friends only to be seen there by her husband who is an executive with the UK company that owns the resort. Several years previously, she washed up on the beach of a US island with no memory and no ID, her only possession from her previous life is a necklace that we later find out was given to her by her family. The story then centers around her memory coming back when her husband approaches her in a restaurant at the resort, where she faints, recovers her memory and struggles with whether she should go back to her old UK family or move on with her new US relationship.
It's a really well-done story, but unfortunately, I can't remember the name of the author and no matter what search terms I use, I come up empty. Does anyone out there have any leads or ideas I can follow-up on? Thank you in advance for your help.
