Not exactly sure of why I decided to post this...we are all supposed to be writers here..expressing our thoughts and ideas.

I ran across a film..for the second time, Lost and Delerious, about a girl loving a girl..in a boarding school setting.

The reviewer, in the link above, referred to the film and the book as not the typical Lesbian fare, but of love, as in we don't choose who we love...

Just wondered if anyone else had seen it or read it and what your opinion might be.

Damn, the threads about a film....... :(

I thought you were finally fessin up.......

Own the movie and the original book the movie was based on which is pretty much different from the movie.
Great film, one of my favorites.

See it...but have tissues ready.

The book is a little different, darker. It's "The wives of Bath" by susan swan. Hard to find.

Another decent one to look at for similar reasons "Oranges are not the only fruit."

Its been a couple of years since I saw it, but I seem to remember the movie was rather dark. The book is darker?

I think so...more involved and included a murder.

Hmmm, a murder would make it darker.

As I said, its been awhile since I've seen it, but I do remember that I was a bit surprised at the plot ... was expecting a sweet and innocent romance kind of movie. Now I'm going to have to find a copy of the movie to re-watch and possibly track down a copy of the book.

Thanks

Saw the movie today. I got a bunch of hand down video tapes from a friend who is...well...loaded enough to switch his entire behemoth of a movie collection to dvd. And this was in the pile. So naturally I had to see what y'all were talking about.

It was ok, guess. A bit more intelligent than your average college flick, but a bit of platitude going on. It needed more...bite. Maybe the book provides that. I'll put it on the list.

Oh, and it's not that hard to get hold of. Amazon got it by proxy in the US and in stock in the UK. Ain't the 21st century great? :)
