My ex girlfriend, and one still one of my closest friends, has been diagnosed with bowel cancer.
She has to undergo a very serious operation next week.

I've already lost two friends in my short lifetime, i really hope I don't have to lose another.

Just try to remain optimistic. And remember, everything's going to be fine. Smoooooooooooooooooooooochies! You'll be in my thoughts.

im sorry afm i hope everything go's well people do get over these things and go on to have a normal and full life i hope your friend does just that

I hope some of my good vibrations reach you and your friend.

If things get to a point where the end might be near I hope that it can be a meaningful transition for your friend with the support of loved ones like yourself to help her through.

But we'll keep good thoughts....:rose:

There are many things you can do to help your friend in this battle. I suggest you investigate the numerous support groups and join. They can provide a wealth of information about the challenges she faces and help you to support her through this ordeal. It will help you too. Good luck and good thoughts to you and your friend.

News like that is so devastating. I hope the surgery is a success and she will be on her way to recovery.

Keep us posted.

Be strong and positive. I'm sorry to hear about your friend but I know you'll be a good friend for her to have.

I wish the best for both of you. Keep yourself together for her sake. I lost my younger brother a long time ago. He was my only brother and my best friend. He was in the Navy and had only been home 5 weeks after being discharged. I let him live with me and one morning when I went to wake him up , he was dead in bed. His resperatory system had failed. I had to call my parents and tell them what had happened. i don't think I will ever get over it. If you need some support or just want to talk to someone who has been there, feel free to send me an e-mail and we'll set something up. I'm a good listener and that is what you might need. Think positive for her sake and yours. It may seem like you are all by yourself, but you never are. There is always some one if you really look. Best of wishes.
