I just finish reading the Lew Archer detective series. LA 1950s. Easy read. Now that winter is here I'll do some serious reading. I've always wanted to read Les Miserable , I read anything , history , poetry , erotica. Thanks for the reply. Robert

They were written in the 50's , 18 books that stretch from 1950 to 1970. An interesting look at the time. The writer Ross MacDonald a Canadian taught my brother English at university. What do you like to read.

I'm at a stuck point, the one I was reading, I put down. don't feel like reading it.
so I haven't picked up my kindle for weeks haha.
Canadian French?
I'll check his books on amazon.

the first book sounds interesting, well written with descriptions of the scenery.
placed on the cal coast, some place I'm very familiar with and like.

I bought all 19 from IBook a package deal. I think it was 40 bucks. I read my books on my iPhone. During the first covid lockdown I read a lot of free books from IBook. Cheap erotica , it got pretty repetitive. I stop buying real book , I was running out of shelf spot. If you like a book about Southern California SWEET THURSDAYS by Steinbeck , it's a funny little read. His Tortilla Flat is funny too.

I didn't like romance novels because I'd get tinges of jealousy. I'm sensitive haha.

Every good book has some romance going on. Even in SHANE , you I know Shane has something going on with the other guys wife. Read between the lines. Trust me you don't want to read too much erotica when you're snowed in and alone for a week. A good imagination is a very sexy thing.
