Looking forwards to the holidays

I'll admit, when I first heard about it, I was, like, is he old enough for that already? But, this looked cool enough to give me goosebumps and make me want to go looking for a trailer. *g*


Anything else that y'all have heard or seen coming up anytime soon that you're looking forward to? (Even if with a sense of dread or that shouldn't-look-but-must feeling you get when passing an accident?)

I understand they're finally making a "Watchmen" movie. Haven't seen the full cast list or anything, though.

Personally, I'm leery. Watchmen was such a rich piece of work it's going too be very difficult to catch the essence of it in a movie.

I have always envisioned it as being perfect for a cable-television miniseries.

You could track it almost the way Moore did the book: start at the funeral, go into episodes focussing on one or two of the characters at a time, toss in some foreshadowing and subplots amid the flashbacks and present-time action, and end-up at Ozymandias' frozen base.
