Looking for that frisson again

Hi there......*thinking of suitable nickname*
Dang ! my brain has suddenly stopped working. Must be those distracting bees buzzing around.
Bees and beef, an I assure you J E that it sure is wothwhile ammending you likes for a glimpse at Ms IN......yeeeeee hawwwwwww!

umm okay...not liking here baby anymore? So let see... WOWOWOW??? What about that nickname? Or Thud (the sound your..oh nevermind).
I didn't get that. Thud is the sound of my what exactly ?
Since IN isn't eager to explain herself, anyone feel free to enlighten me. You know that annoying feeling when you don't get a joke but have to laugh along because you don't want people to know you are stupid. Well thats how I feel, except I'm not laughing out loud, and am telling you all I'm stupid.

Well I got it!! Maybe that speaks too much of the sort of company that I have been keeping lately rather than any intellectual qualities I may have! ;)

Wish me luck!

Wish me luck everybody! I'm just about to venture out on a date with a real live woman for the first time in 20 years!

Not really a date, just a drink to see what we think of each other. I'm nervous but looking forward to the challenge! :)

Good luck INS...Just be your witty, adorable self and you'll wow her! Hugs and kisses and pats for luck!

I survived!

Well I made it through 90 minutes without her discovering just how unbalanced I really am! It went well, we talked, we laughed, we were relaxed! Maybe there is hope for me yet! :D

Good to hear it went well. And I do need lessons John. IN, space for one more in your class ??

Great INS, dang 90 minutes, round here with a date like that you'd now consider yourself engaged....

In all seriousness INS, congratulations, I totally understand how intimidating finding the groove of dating is after so long an absence. If you are imbalanced you showed a lot of common sense in your choice of a meeting place and your indulgence in her time....seems like a good sign for the future....

Thanks

Thankyou for all your support. I cannot express in words how fabulous it is to have met such pleasant people. It's been a tough year for me so far but with the support of friends anything is possible.

Now of course, the challenge is not to propose ,marriage until at least the third date...:)

Should you be thinking of anything other than your fumbling abilities to unhook her bra on the third date, I will pesonally fly the crop duster upside down accross the Atlantic, hunt you down and condemn you to the the most remote Island of the Herbides, where you shall listen to the sheep and an off keyed bagpiper for the rest of your born days....

Ah, an idyllic weekend at EA Towers. We sat on the lawn and sipped Pims and lemonade, the robins and the wrens hopped and darted hither and yon, the soft springy turf underfoot formed a verdant carpet for the kittens to gambol on.....

Actually we stayed in most of the time!

INS, In the words of my favourite character from Finding Nemo ; "You so totally rock, dude". Well done on your date, and for taking things slow. It's cool that all the people on here like you for who you are, and it's even better that your date did too.

To the seamstryss, welcome back - you've been missed too much. Poor us, we were bereft without you.

To everyone else, hope you had a great weekend and you have a good Columbus day holiday (is that today?). We spend the weekend in mundane chores, packing for our upcoming holiday to the Far East. Only 1 week to go, and I might even bring back a bride for INS.

If you want the details, look up the Tiger Temple in Kanchanaburi. I'm off to stroke a tiger! Yee (and not to cut you off in mid-holler) Haw.
Now what else have I missed on this thread.....

Yay INS!!! You do rock, that's for sure. Remember, I WON'T be coming to your wedding unless it's next year, don't you forget it. And if you plan it right, I can bring my whole troupe with me to provide some entertainment for the party.

NO NO NO no brides for INS..I agree with John, he needs to learn how to date first.

Thank you Ms IN, you be one smart lady, and we are real happy like here in the Waller to have you as our school marm...

Thank you ladies, but both of you seem pretty dang smart on your own.

Well, I did just tell someone "I'm like a camel, I rarely have to stop" So I'm not sure how smart I actually am.

p.s. we were discussing our trip to Billings, and we're driving. Even with a company plane, we're still driving. They were all "oh great, we're bringing the girl, she's going to have to stop to pee" Jerks!

But why can't I have a bride as a holiday souvenir? How about if first EA checks that she really is a "bride" and not a "groom"?

Thanks for all the kind comments guys! :)

Do you often need EA to check your dates to see whether they need the bride figurine or the groom one on the cake?

Well it's just common sense if he is going to pay for "her" postage and packing to get her back to sunny old England. Come on Wings, try to keep up! :D
