So, I'm looking for possible beta-readers (may also be down for editing... maybe), for a rework of the first part of my ongoing series (A Ballad of Light and Darkness). It's mythic fantasy in theme, Dunsanian, Tolkien-esque, Dark fantasy, a bit of 'chosen hero' trope, etc.
It has dark elves. FMC is a dark elf princess.
I've redone the prose almost completely: More inspired by old-school classic literary fantasy prose, more "Tolkien-esque", or more "Dunsanian" if you will... Particularly with the new Chapter 1, after the prologue.
Chapter 1 starts very atmosphere and mood focused, so heads up. after a years long hiatus. Reworked the story to suit my vision of it much better, compared to the first version of the first part published here. The revision is almost completely different.
Some warnings:
-There are no sex scenes in this first part(there will be in the future). There is some sensual dark elf dancing, though.
-There is an SA attempt in the last scene, unsuccessful, but just thought I should add the warning, anyways.
