Obviously there are wrong places to look. Are there right places to look? Or is it simply within oneself? One could say that a porn board is the wrong place to go looking, but then again, it sounds to me like there have been a (very) few long term relationships that started here.

There is no right or wrong place to look for love. If it is meant to be it will happen. But then again I am sooooooooooo the wrong person to be asking about love.

It doesnt matter where you meet, its who you meet.

The guy you meet in the vegetable aisle could be an asshole just as much as a porn site member.

This board is the very best place to find the most amazing and beautiful people. Who live a million miles away from you.

When you find the right place, let me know.

hmmm sounds about right too.

The internet strikes me as a bad place, mostly for the reason van mentioned.

I dunno where the right place is though. :confused:

You're lucky if you find it though, even once, even if it doesn't last long.

Of course, didn't I tell you I was a god in a past life?

I've been blessed with four of the most wonderful friends, and two fantastic lovers through this site. Funny how the friendships have endured while the loves have passed.

well i cannot say any lovers, but the friends.... well there are so many people who I am proud to call friend and who i love dearly.

Of course there is a special person in my life from here, but she is so much more than a friend ;)

In my opinion you don't look for love. The greatest love I had in my life came when I wasn't looking or wanting anything.

agree totally.

I find that if i am looking, then .... well maybe I try to hard and everyone runs a mile... but if i just plod along, not looking, then wham! something jumps out and hits you (occasionally it has been a bus :p)

When I was actively looking for love, I found something that was really shitty.

When I'd decided to just be by myself, it smacked me upside the head ... twice.

You don't fall in love; you step in it.

In that greatest love I've ever had, we started off as great friends first.

We laughed, joked, teased, and flirted. We took each other into our hearts and shared details of our pasts, our presents and what we hoped our futures would be. Then we fell in love.

I don't come here or anywhere else I go (especially online wise) to find someone to fall in love with. My goal is to make long lasting friendships. If love happens along the way, I won't turn my back on it. :)

love finds you weather you rlooking for it or not.

Me I found my love over a videogame.

so there may be right and wrong places, but it goes to show, you never know where the right places are

Anyplace you find eligible single people and can get to know them is a good place to find love. Lit. or any other place online has the advantage that there are a lot of eligible people and it is easy to get to know them without too much risk.

I didn't come here for love, but I have come closer here than just about anywhere else. Unfortunately, so far the people I have been really attracted to, and who seemed attracted to me, have for the most part been too geographically distant to maintain a relationship with.

First you need to determine what you are looking for ---> then figure out where to find it. I've been carefully considering this for the last 2 and a half minutes and have come up with a few suggestions. For example:

Mechanic = Porsche dealership
Yard work = Greenskeeper at the country club
Home repair = This Old House location shoots
Comedian = Your banker
Ability to take abuse = Customer Service rep
Athletic = Day care provider
Romantic = tax man or the sales clerk at Godiva Chocolatiers

The only way to find love with a doctor is to get sick and end up in the hospital.
The only way to find love with a lawyer is to give him a huge retainer otherwise his love will only be returned on contingency.
The only way to find love with an Indian Chief is to make a reservation.

So 99, you're saying I need to be looking for a banker who drives a Porche and works on it himself and in his spare time does the yard and fixes up his own house and moonlights as a CSR?

*she finally acknowledges me!*

No, I'm saying you and I should go hang out at the Petroleum Club and find men who can afford to hire people to do all those things for us.

And I wanna take Eumenides and Rubyfruit with us. K?

Ok, that works for me. Except for the part about having to go into Houston. Although I had a friend who worked for the Bell St Exxon...wonder if he's still there? Maybe he could introduce us around?
