Greetings my dear comrades Author's Hangout! I figure this is the right place for this...
I haven't written anything for the Lit website, but I have been a long-time browser of it and a while back I finally joined up. Since then I still haven't posted anything to the main Lit site, but I have participated in a number of forum roleplays. All the ones I did are in my sig. Most of them are pretty good, or at least my parts are, without trying to toot my own horn. If you're looking them over to get a sense of how I write I particularly would recommend Call of Cthulhu, Jarhead, The Eagle Falls, American Gods or Madame Guillotine.
Way back in July I got an idea for a new group roleplay, centered around a sort of dark high fantasy concept. Middle-Earth where Sauron wins although I really don't want it to be a Lord of the Rings/World of Warcraft/Harry Potter clone. More than anything, I saw it as something more like Ian Edginton's comic "Kingdom of the Wicked", or Harry Turtledove's story "After the Last Elf is Dead", assuming anyone else has ever heard of those. I got a few people interested and got pretty far in doing an intro post. Then those people drifted off and I moved on to other projects.
However, it came to me that maybe this would work better as a group writing project than a roleplay. There are a definitely a number of writers whose pages I frequent and/or who frequent the forum that I would be interested in working with, while most of my main Lit-roleplay partners I don't think would find this up their alley. Plus, this would be the gateway to me finally getting something up on Lit, heheh. So I've decided to step a bit out of my comfort zone and post this here.
If people are interested, I will definitely post more information on what I had in mind, and if not, then I should probably just stop now anyways...
