"What is it?", Megan asked
or
"What is it?", asked Megan

Is there any difference in the way this is used? Does it give a different feeling? I seem to fluctuate between these randomly, but that probably isn't right.

Anyhow, sorry to bug you, but an idiot has to start from somewhere.
