I am determined to write professionally. I'm seeking a like-minded person willing to swap novels. I'm on the third draft of my current one and will finish within the next two weeks. Not interested in spelling/grammar errors. My concerns are readability, character development, plot progress, and whether my story is believable within the confines of its own logic. I'm already good with word choice, but am willing to take advice. I don't like Incest/Taboo and I'm not qualified for Gay Male. No judgments, simply not qualified. My novel is approximately 66,000 words long. Anybody interested? Thanks for the help.

A beautiful bisexual college student woman in her twenties with a traumatic past becomes involved with a professional dominatrix. The dominatrix puts her to work in her business, sharing her out, for a fee. The young woman becomes disillusioned and runs away after graduation. She soon thereafter meets a rich older man, they fall in love, and begin a serious relationship. A year later, the dominatrix finds her and uses explicit photos and audio tape to blackmail the young woman back into a sexual relationship with the dominatrix. The young woman seeks psychiatric help. The story is framed as a narrative by the psychiatrist relating her sessions in which the young woman relates her history and her troubles. The psychiatrist frequently switches into "observer mode" (and warns her readers of this) in order to deliver the story in a satisfactory manner. I've already posted it as "Dr. Cole's Casefiles Vanessa", parts 01 to 07. 07 has been "pending" since the 22nd of June. The views and reactions are such as to give me some hope that I've got a good story (parts 01 to 06, the only ones published on Lit so far), but I need further assurance that it has legs. I would consider what's posted as a polished 1st draft and I'm in the course of revising it. But I don't want to spend too much time on revisions unless the story has potential. Not looking for affirmation, merely an honest opinion and a rough assessment of weaknesses. Thanks for your interest.

Thanks for reply, lovecraft68

What's the subject matter of yours?
