I'm trying to write a dream sequence...now should it be done in Italic or something else...looking for some suggestions.....

I have a recently completed story that has a dream sequence set apart in italics.

I also use italics to portray my characters thoughts.

It is more visually striking as well.

Yes, I've done it this way as well.

Make certain you use the proper HTML code for the story, though.

Instead of [ i ] italics [ /italics ]

it's with < i > italics < /italics >

I haven't submitted in a story for awhile.

Just double check if the italics show up before submit, of course.

Yes that would be right...HTML is written using < > and like Sarah said, verify the italics show up before submitting, sometimes its ever so easy to forget a / or a > and that'll mess up the whole thing. Trust me...lol...I've hand coded enough HTML

although italics read on the screen are a tad more difficult on the eyes so if your dream sequence goes beyond say; a thousand words, I'd think of some other way. Like ** asterisks ** to denote discontinuity.
