Long term dom/sub relations

I would like to communicate with couples or other women in a long-term Dom/sub relationship.
I need to understand how it affects and plays out in the non-sexual aspects of the relationship.

I need to understand this for a story I am writing. I am not trying to initiate sexy chat, I'm just trying to learn and understand the whole relationship.

That doesn't mean that sexy chat is off the table, just that I have other needs at the moment.
