So I found what the opposite of Nymph was. Satyr.
But in searching for it I found something I didn't agree with, it seemed out dated.

Go to Dictionary.com
click thesaurus

Type in Female, read a bunch of them.

then type in Male...

Does this anger or annoy anyone else?
Or am I just wrapped up in the politically correctness of the world lately?

I hate to say it but you are wrapped up in the political correctness of the day and age. Are some of these terms offensive? Used in polite society, absolutely. But it is not the job of a Thesaraus to be politically correct. It is the job of a thesaraus to list words in use within the modern linguistic context the thesaraus exists. And all those words are still used today, it doesn't matter if we like them or not, it is the job of all good academic sources dealing with the subject to list them. They aren't saying all those terms should be used, or are polite, merely what they mean. It is the job of the researcher to use the information they find in an intelligent and appropriate way.

How is "wolf" an offensive synonym?

I suppose it isn't offensive but... they make Man to be a cross between a wild animal over flowing with testosterone, and a female some docile subservient virgin only their to kiss feet and be pregnant.

I wonder if it is the same in other languages / cultures / translations...
