Glory Michaels was what most considered beautiful but she thought she was just average. She stood 5'4 and weighed 145 lbs with an athletic build as she is a dancer and had been dancing her entire life. At 23 she just graduated from college and was back home alone ready to see what the world had in store for her.

It was the beginning of summer and she was already to go to the beach and work on her tan as she did every summer. She was sitting down at her favorite spot on the beach in her lavender bikini and her long brownish hair that has highlights in it pulled up. Her hazel eyes were hidden behind her shades as she looked around to see her friends jumping around in the water acting goofy.

Daniel Chavez standing at 6 feet and 180lbs has been coming off a excellent year of college and basketball season. He had decide to go to college in his hometown to be close to his family. Him and a few of his friends decide to go to the beach to relax and have some fun. He helped his buddies unload the car and set up. However he was distracted when he laid his eyes on a girl who swears he's seen her before.

He told his buddies he be right back and walk over to her. He was shirtless and showing of his lean and fit body. As he got closer he began to notice who it was. Glory his first true love flashback came to him. Remembering he had broken up with her when she went off to college. It was painful to remember as he thought about her every day. Seeing her now she still looked amazing and kept in a shape. He continued walking over to her and he now stood next to her and smiled.

"It's nice seeing you again. How have you been?"

She looked up and stood up quickly when she saw who it was. She thought about it a lot but didn't think she would see him again at least not this soon.

"Wow how long has it been?"

She knew it had been a while since she made sure to avoid going to places she was sure he would be at since he was the one breaking up with her when she went off to school. Then it donned on her that she didn't answer his question.

"I'm doing good how about you?"

She was still stunned that she was standing back in front of him and not sure how to feel about it but she wasn't going to let that show.

"It's been a while and I'm good. You look amazing by the way."

He couldn't believe she was in front of him. She really did look good, he had missed her for a while now. He had felt guilty for the last few years for the break up. He wouldn't let her go though and even askec her mother what she was doing in college. He smiled at her containing his feelings.

"Your mom told me you were studying to be a dancer."

One of his favorite memories was when she taught him to dance. How delicate her movements were and the way she would be precise with every move. Having her in his arms as she guided him. It was the night she told him her dreams and feeling for them.

She nodded to him still hiding her feelings.

"Yeah I just graduated last month in dancing. I'm going to...."

She trailed off not thinking he was really interested in what she had planned for her future since he broke up with her after she poured her heart and desires out to him before.

"So what are you going for? College that is?"

She knew enough that he was in school but didn't let herself ask to many questions about anything else.

"I've been working on getting my business degree and playing for the team."

He was more interested in hearing about her. More importantly if she was single. He wanted to make it up to her. He wanted to take her out for dinner later. He got nervous as he got the courage to ask.

"So are you seeing anyone? If your answer is no would you want to get a bite to eat for old time sakes."

She nodded to him staying as calm as she could seeing how it seemed he could still make her nervous and giddy like he used to. A soft smile crept across her lips at his question and she nodded slightly with no indication which she was answering. She let him sweat it for a few before she answered him.

"No I'm not seeing anyone and dinner between friends sounds good."

She was making sure he understood she didn't expect much out of it not saying that she wouldn't want something out of it.

It's been 4 years and he was still nervous. He was anxious to hear her response. She said no and he had a smile on face. He swore that she was hiding a smile. That last part got him "between friends". He nodded and stumbled on his words.
"Uhh yeah of course umm do you have any places in mind?"

Seriously he thought that's the best you got. I smiled at her knowing she probably thought it was funny. He hadn't done that in years except for the time he asked Glory out on the first date. For some reason he liked having someone make him feel arrange especially her.

She smiled a little and nodded to him enjoying the way he was stammering over his words.

"How about we go to where we had our first date for old times sake."

She was sure he would remember the little German Restaurant that he took her too more than once in the time they dated.

Daniel smiled at her choice. He knew she would pick that remembering the dates they had there. It was around the block from her house.

"Yeah that sounds good. What time do you want to meet?"

He was thinking of picking her up early and enjoy a walk before thier evening.

She smiled softly remembering how many times they had this same conversation in the past about where to go for dinner and normally going to the same place over and over again.

"Sounds like a good plan to me. How about we meet at 7 p.m.?"

If he was true to the past she knew to be ready a little before as they usually walked where ever they were going to dinner at. She used to love their dates and spending time with him in general. Those thoughts made her a little sad and she tried to hide any hurt that may have crossed her face.

I smiled at her and before I could speak my friends called at me to help. My face turn to a little disappointment as I wanted to talk more, but I resided to my fate.

"I got to go and I'll pick you up."

I was going to give her a hug or even a handshake, but my former instincts came in. I kissed her on the check. I chuckled and smiled no doubt a little embarrass.

"I'm sorry I didn't mean, too."

She bit her lip and smiled as he kissed her cheek even as her they started turning red. Shaking her head she spoke up and looked at him.

"Don't be sorry...just....don't be late."

A part of her was wondering if he would show up on time or if this was some sort of joke. About that time her friends were calling out to her and she turned to go with them for a while.

After a few hours she went home and took a shower getting ready for her date.

He smiled at her as she spoke. He noticed that she was blushing and thought it was cute.

"Don't worry I won't."

He walked back to my friends and hanged out for a bit before heading home. He cleaned up and changed into some dark jeans and a blue button short sleeve shirt. He walked to Glory's house a few minutes before he was suppose to be there. He knocked on the door and waited for her.

She had finished getting ready just a little before she heard the knock on the door. A smile crossed her lips as she opened it up seeing him there early. He would see her wearing a lavender sundress with a pair of sandals and her hair done in a braid down her back. She also had a pair of earrings and a necklace that had matching lavender colored gems on them.

"Hello there handsome, come in please."

She stepped aside for him to come in while she grabbed her purse which had her phone and wallet in it.

She looked stunning in the purple outfit. He smiled back as she greeted him in. Her house hadn't change over the years looking the same. Glory looked to be in a good mood a little flirty, too. He liked that about her she was easy to be around. He liked her handsome comment glad he dressed well.

"You know more compliments like that and I would be thinking we were going out a date." He chuckled."You look beautiful by the way as always."

She smiled and got a little playful with him when he commented on this being a date. Her face got serious and her eyes went wide.

"Oh god this isn't a date...I need to go change. Can't have everyone in town thinking we are out on a date."

She started to head back upstairs still playing her little joke on him. At least in her head it was funny.

She gave him that cute smile he felt like maybe it was. Until her emotions changed to a more serious attitude. He was a little hurt then he remembered on how she played little games on him. He always hated them when they were younger, but missed them when she left. Maybe it was time for payback.

"Fine be that way I'm leaving."

Pretending to be stubborn he started heading out the door. She was a better at acting at him, but he hoped she would fall for it.

She blinked and turned to him not wanting him to leave and wasn't sure if he meant it or not but then again she didn't want to take a chance. Her resolve with him was quickly failing her and she bit her lip and grabbed his hand.

"Please don't go.."

It would be the first time all day that he would see how much she missed him.

"How about we agree not to care what anyone else says?"

She smiled to him and continued to hold his hand.

He felt her hand smiling to himself before turning to face her. He felt bad right after as her words came out softly. She did care about him it did feel nice seeing her smile.

"I was only kidding. I'm sorry."

He was still holding her hand. He just nodded his head to her suggestion. Leading Glory out the door into the quiet street.

"I guess you know why I came early. It's like old times."

The last words he spoke lightly enough for her to hear. He smiled at her.

"You're forgiven"

She smiled a bit at his words only letting go of his hand to grab her purse and lock the door as he led her out the door. Taking his arm smiling up at him she nodded and whispered.

"It does feel like it."

She was about to tell him that she missed him and was glad they ran into each other but she bit her lip a little and squeezed his arm gently as they walked down the street.

"Such a beautiful night out here."

He hadn't really took any girls out on dates when she left. So he was happy to have this experience. Her words sent chills down his spine he wouldn't think she would remember. When she squeeze his arm it was another of one those cute things he had missed about her.

"The night is beautiful. So when we would go on these walks. They were honest and we promise to keep it secret. I really missed you Glory if I could go back. I would have gone with you. Your mom would show me pictures you sent her."

He reached into his pocket pulling out a photo. It was her after dancing her last performance at the college. He kept so he wouldn't forget how she looked and how happy she was. He handed her the photo.

She bit her lip and smiled softly as she looked up at him. That wasn't what she expected to hear from him but it did make her heart skip a beat or two to hear that from him.

"I wish you would have. I loved every bit of that college but it was always missing something."

She thought he needed to hear that and she took a deep breathe and continued.

"In case you are wondering what it was missing it was missing you. I'm glad my mom showed you those pictures. That one is my favorite."

She shook her head as he tried to hand her the picture.

"You keep that one."

Her words made him feel better about letting her go. It felt even better knowing she missed him as much as he missed her. He put the picture back in his pocket.

"I glad to hear you missed me. I would have thought you would forget me."

Smiling at her he kissed her forehead squeezing her closer to him. Walking down the street it was still quiet and nice being just the two of them.

"We still have time to kill what do you want to go?"

She hugged him back as he kissed her forehead and squeezed her closer. Looking up at him she was a bit stunned and poked him on the side.

"How in the world did you come to the conclusion that I would forget about you?" You always have a piece of my heart."

She leaned her head against him and sighed softly before looking up at him as they walked more.

"How about we go to the park near the restaurant and sit and talk some more?"

She grinned realizing just how their "talks" went at times and wondered if that would happen again at some point.
