Loneliness

I know being single isn't all that bad, but I guess at times I just can't help but feel lonely......especially since everyone around me has someone.....I guess you always want what you can't have......

So I try to encase myself in things that keep my busy, working, working out, learning, going out with friends and their significant others.......but then there are the times where I'm not doing anything, and there's just me, suddenly I realize I'm all alone........that maybe all of this keeping busy stuff is just a way to run away from these feelings I have.........

Suddenly everything is just so hard......and all I'm left with is just this feeling of emptiness.......

I know *psycho alert* sorry I just needed to vent tonight.....

Discuss.....

Everybody feels that a ttimes yaya. It's the only downside to avoiding the bullshit of being involved with someone.

I know how you feel, yayati. I'm at the end of my first year alone, following a three year relationship. I do feel a pang of loneliness from time to time, but I've learned that directing my focus inward and working on my emotional equilibrium is a much better way to cope than looking at all of the people in relationships around me.

The good thing about being single is that you have sole responsibility for your state of being, unlike in a relationship where you have only 50% of the say in what happens.

Take a careful look at the relationships around you. Are the people as happy as you think they are? They may well be, but to set up a comparison of their situation versus yours is folly. People in relationships simply have a different set of conflicts to deal with. Love yourself selfishly while you have the freedom to do so. Once you're in a relationship again, you may realize that you miss the company of yourself all alone.

Two is a crowd. Three is an orgy.

Wait. I'm doing something wrong here...

You won't get that embarassing moment after wetting the bed in your sleep either.

You're typing legibly today. And this is a legitimate thread topic. WHO are you??

Yayati left for good yesterday afternoon, and announced that any subsequent posts would be from imposters.
