What a gorgeous city it is.

Spent the day in Camden yesterday listening to bands and today being a tourist.

I love siting outside a café, people watching. Guessing what nationality they are before they speak. Americans were pretty easy to guess.

It was when they asked, "Where can you get a Budweiser around here?" that gave it away, right?

To be honest it was the way they were dressed.

I think that your government should invest in some public information adverts suggesting American tourists abroad wear something other than checked shorts, baseball caps and a camera around the neck.

Have you been to London?

No, but that will be changing shortly. And JAJ is a world class traveler. I don't even own checkered shorts nor a camera. But, when I do come, You, butters, the Fata, and dolf are going to show me the sites.

I'm bringing cheese.

I will buy you a pint and we can get squiffy ;)

In Camden

if you ask for a Budweiser, you're more likely to get the original Czech Budweiser Budvar than the poor US attempted imitation. The US company stole the name. But they can't make real Pilsner lager. Only the Czechs, and maybe the Germans, can manage that.

The English can't make beer or ale either.

I drank lots and lots of very cold san Miguel and cocktails (not together for obvious reasons) and it was all very nice :)

As a Scot...

I have to choke on my nationalistic pride... and tell you that the English and Belgians make the best ale I've ever tasted. And I have travelled on five continents, and sampled many different ales.

The English can't make beer or ale either.
