Because” just enough” is just fine with me.
The more money you have, the more you worry about it and the more problems you have because of it. Capitalism is a Ponzi scheme..
 
When you're working two or three jobs trying to get ahead and barely enough time to sleep

And....your car breaks down, lost one job because employer couldn't give shit, just wants you there on time today!
And....then you're late on the light bill, the water bill, and rent
And....not enough money for food
And....then you're going to food banks or flat out stealing food just to eat
And....fuck if you get caught, then there's jail time and fines and court costs
And....there's a medical issue, gotta take off for that
And....first employer threatens that job

It fucking snowballs into a desperate situation. You find yourself maybe catching up, and fuck if something else doesn't happen.

And then there you are asking anyone and everyone for a lousy $50 because that's all you need to make rent, and everyone including family says no

And ....then some fuckwit says its all your fault and choice. That fuckwit either doesn't know or conveniently forgot.

Having gone through poverty. It can take years to pull yourself out of it. Setbacks happen all the fucking time.

I have spent my whole life in poverty, some times are better than others, after fifty years
(im 65), i finally own my own home, and a used Miata…. I eat every day, and i have a warm safe place to lay my head, every day i wake up and thank the Almighty for my good fortune. These things have pretty much been forgotten by well off people, it seems to me that more you got, the more you want, and the more angry you get because you haven’t got all you want. I used to desire wealth, but after 60+ years of watching these “entitled” people i have come to the conclusion that nobody, and i mean nobody NEEDS a billion dollars. That is more money than you can spend in a lifetime, and i will never understand how if you do have a billion dollars, then by god you MUST have a billion more and so on until you are Elon Musk, Bill Gates, and a few others, Trump didn’t have a billion until he was president….hmmmn wonder how he made i? I dont see these men as being superior to me in any way, they got the luck of the draw , if you can call it luck. These men have the means to help every person in the world, and Gates does do a lot, but why dont the rest? It would relieve so much stress that maybe wouldnt always be fighting each other. Instead they hoard money, crashing economy’s and destroying our financial stability. I can go on and on about this subject, but i will spare you. I hope that someday people will learn that “just enough” is just fine.6
