I have read the Bible. I wasn't always an atheist. I became one because I read the Bible. Science didn't make me an atheist.
I spent 50+ years as a convinced, happy Canadian Anglican.

God as written is NOT a loving God.
He is ok with abortion, deal with that.
He's also ok with infanticide, rape, murder, basically every single so-called vice.

And the main problem with American white right Christianity is how outrageously mangled their belief is of what is and isn't in the Bible and what the message is.

I'd rather Putin were dead, and Russia were not in Ukraine. Russia and Russians are going to miss all of those dead marriage-aged men who are also not in the workforce. They will also miss all the ones that were able to leave and did.

I don't have any grand political reasons for supporting Ukraine. Putin is just a dangerous person. He needs to go.

Funny, you talk about intellectual growth while writing a novella to brag about how much smarter you think you are. You say you’re not angry, not better, and not trying to prove anything… yet here you are, lecturing me on cisness, atheism, and debate skill like it’s a TED Talk.

Your post got under my skin? Hardly, I’ve read more coherent arguments on a cereal box. You can run circles in a debate all you want, but all I see is someone desperate to broadcast their superiority but forgot to make a point. By the way, you just proved that self-proclaimed enlightenment can come with an inflated ego as well.

Congratulations on mastering the art of being insufferable. Perfecting “laugh while angry” is impressive, I guess, if your goal was to make every interaction exhausting. And the rest? Threats, assumptions, and random insults are a masterclass in self-owning. You don’t get paid for lecturing because no one wants the performance.
