Little Thing Appreciation Thread

Some guy just skyped me and I think he thinks that I'm somebody else and I just ran with it. It was pretty funny.

...walking to my front door a couple of evenings ago, when the sun was still happy, and a robin flew into the starting-to-bud lilac bush and we both stood there, looking at eachother for a while. i whispered to it, and it cocked its head to one side, listening and blinking.

Aaaaw

Food turning out perfectly gorgeous and delicious.

The sight of new leaves and the fragrance of lilacs mixed with that of newly-laid mulch.

A random text from someone I haven't heard from in a long time

last year, having laid some crazy paving over a previously 'mud/dust' area, i planted some cute multi-colour violas in patches along the fence. they were bright and cheery, dying down as the year wore on.

my back garden isn't the most welcoming in winter, and this one was longer than usual. it was really nice to go out and see many of the violas back, and more numerous, soaking up the sunshine.

best of all, though, was the lone little viola plant that had grown in the middle of the paved area from between the cracks - with a single soft-tangerine bloom. i'll have to move it so it doesn't get trodden on, but it's so cute there.

The scent of the jasmine in the backyard now that the temps are rising. The hummingbirds chasing each other around. The bunnies trying to eat all my plants (they're just so cute when they nibble). The quail family filing through the yard squawking at each other the entire time.
