I was wondering the same thing until I decided to read some of the how to's. One thing though. When I get enough posts for an avatar can i use one of my own? IE. a drawing that I have done? Thanks. I love this site and usually read but not post. Carrie

When you get 100+ posts, go to the edit options in the user cp. At the very bottom of the page is the instructions for uploading an avatar. Any JPG or GIF image can be used and uploaded from your computer as long as it is no large than 150 pixels in any direction or a file larger than 20Kb


You can scan a drawing within thise size limits and use that with ease. That's actually the very best kind of avatar, becausee it's truly unique to you.
