How to favourite authors on main site

Hi

This may seem really basic, but I can't seem to favourite authors on the main Lit site. I can favourite individual stories and follow authors, no problem, but I am obviously missing something when it comes to authors whose work I really like as a whole. Can I anyone point me in the right direction? Many thanks

What would the difference be between "favoriting" authors and "following" authors?

I think it's two words for the same thing. I don't think there's a separate function or feature.
