Why am I the only warplane?

The Hurricane. The backbone of the RAF during The Battle of Britain. Not the fastest, the most manoeuvrable or the prettiest. Very stable gun platform. First monoplane fighter introduced into RAF. Flew in all theaters of the war.

A friend had one of these here in Anchorage. He could fly to the Wrangells, ride some waves, and glide back to the pattern in Anchorage. One heck of an airplane.

It's only a 4 cylinder. But, I suppose he's worried about fuel economy.

Oh yeah. The dedicated out of Moriarity (NM) fly from there to Co. Springs and back routinely during the summer. Riding that ridge lift highway in the sky.
