High school reunion?

I went to my 10 year. It was awkward. Most of my friends are married and have kids. I’m single, didn’t bring a date. I felt alone and unwanted even though I mingled most of the night and reminisced good times. My ex gf is married, two kids. It was a high school thing but still awkward seeing the woman I lost my virginity to there. My friends asked how’s the single life a lot. I like it but at times wish I had someone to share life with. I wouldn’t go to another

It would be great if reunions were like those in commercials or like on TV shows but the reality is there are people that won't let the past remain in the past and have to pick at something like picking at a scab. Trying to make something worse or making it still sore place.

Yep!

Went to a junior school reunion organised via Facebook and nothing to do with the school. Was at a local pub on a lovely sunny day. Great to catch up with people, only about ten there but probably better that way. One of the girls (40ish at that point) got talking with me, she still had a cute smile, and asked "I know you're married but how happily married are you?" "Happy enough, thank you, but I'd certainly be interested if I wasn't." Coulda, shouldn't, didn't. Hehe.

Lmao, fuck no. High school was something I got through, not something I want to revisit. There's a few people I wouldn't mind seeing, but we're friends on FB so it's not like we're not in touch.

It's all a moot point anyway because I think whoever would be in charge of such things gave up after the lackluster response to the proposed five-year reunion.

High school was about 90% horrible for me. I have not gone to any of the reunions. But I did connect with my HS crush on Facebook talking about the reunion and that has sparked a very enjoyable rekindling that has been better than whatever few bright spots there were during those years.

I think we had a five year reunion but only certain people got the invite. And we haven’t had once since. Seems like the children I graduated with are still children, no thanks.

I went to my 10 year reunion. Saw a lot of classmates I hung around with, had a good time overall. The 20 year reunion was different, Those of us not in the popular crowd had moved on in life, the popular crowd was a larger percentage of the crowd, and liked reliving their glory days. I did not go to the 30 year reunion, saw the pictures on social media, almost exclusively the popular crowd. The 40 year reunion was only the popiular crowd, 50 attendees of a class of almost 500.

The only thing I'm interested in seeing is the list of the dead.

The only interesting thing was at the 10 year reunion, the class valedictorian flew in on a private jet with her pony tailed boyfriend. She had started her own fashion line in Chicago, and was doing so well she was expanding to New York and Los Angeles, After that, she developed a cocaine addiction (pony tailed boyfriend) and lost everything. Through an old friend she is now a bookeeper and married to a locksmith in Chicago living with him above the shop.

I attended - reluctantly - my five-year in Houston in 2023. We just happened to be visiting my sister’s family and my husband convinced me to turn up.

It wasn’t as dire as I’d been dreading. Of course everybody and their partners knew I’d done OnlyFans after graduating, but the slut-shaming was pretty lowkey. Most of the bad vibes were from stuff I’d done as a student (boyfriend stealer, yada yada 🙄).

Some of the girls were genuinely curious about OF. I think it was more the idea of buying 3-bed condos outright than anything to do with sexual adventures.

Kincaid was a good private school and, besides one death in a car crash😢, everybody seemed to be doing okay. A few babies, no obvious dumpster fires.

Asked my wife if she ever had sex at a reunion and it so happens that she went to one with a dude she was seeing who was from her school. She said that she got buzzed and they went back to stay at his folks house and had sex and that the guys mom commented on the noise they made. She had told me about him before and that he had a less than three inch erection. Guess it felt good that night! 😳

I couldn't attend my 10th, but did my 20th. It was very similar to what I expected sadly.
And most of my friends weren't there, so it was less ideal.
Ironically, some of the wives of guys in my class I knew better, even though they were a year or two younger.

If we have had any other ones, I either didn't know it or wasn't invited

If nothing else, it was good for a business. I just sold 10 boards of cherry wood that I just got milled to one of my old classmates for a pretty nifty profit.

I’d say I also had an enjoyable time at my 40 year a few weeks ago.

Glad to hear from those that had good experiences.i wasn't invited to the 10 year was invited to the 15 and I didn't go but asked the woman doing the inviting if I was invited because they were running out of people to make fun of. She never answered so I took that as a yes

I have been pleasantly surprised by my 25, 30, 35 and 40 year reunions.

Pleasantly surprised because high school was an absolute shit show for me.

The 5 year notice said $75 admission for the event in a banquet hall. I don't see the appeal of paying to go back to high school. When I moved I did not give anyone there my new address. I barely remember any of their names. I mostly forget reunions happen until I see threads like this.

Reunions are for the big shots to see if us peons are still in our places . F*** em all

I went to my wife's 20th with her in Boston, not well attended, but the ones who came all had a good time. Two of my wife's best friends from HS were there so she had fun.

But my wife is one of those people who still talk to people from the street she grew up on, so she never really got out of touch which makes a difference. I was bored out of my skull from not knowing anyone.

Why a 5 year? Most people would barely be out of college.

Social media has negated the need for reunions. Anyone you missed you can just look up.

Not really interested in finding out who I missed a shot with. Everyone is married with crotch goblins anyway.

This would be the only thing that a high school reunion would be of any interest for my wife and I. We’re high school sweethearts and are now a hotwife couple. So I kind of like the idea of my wife hooking up with a guy she got reacquainted with while we were there. Definitely not her first boyfriend. He was an asshole that treated her like crap. I’m thinking one of the guys she had a school girl crush on. If she hits it off with one of them we invite him back home with us. Then of course they end up in our bedroom. And I listen from the hallway as he fucks her!

My wife and I attended my 10-year high school reunion (Class of ’79). It was nice to catch up with old friends though nothing unusual occurred. Three years later we went to her 10-year reunion (Class of ’82). We attended the same high school -- I was senior when she was a freshman. At her reunion I met the guy who took her virginity in high school – he started at the school after I had graduated. He was the half-brother of a girl who graduated with me. Sitting at the bar there was a strikingly beautiful woman in a little black dress that looked vaguely familiar. After doing the “do I know you?” thing, it turns out she used to deliver our newspaper as a kid. She was now a highly decorated sheriff's deputy who had earned her notoriety performing undercover work among biker gangs.
